ZealatomGuestAndromedaPoof! I am back, with a rapid review of everything I missed…
Tsunami!:
This is a very refreshing piece of pop rock! I had very good first impressions with this one, the vocals and hihat rhythm are on spot, and there was a very nice guitar solo to go with it. It’s already downloaded into my MP3 as I write this, and I’m certainly going to be carrying it around in my head for the next week.Sunday is Coming:
Please, Thalorwin, don’t ever think that! I doubt you’ll find any closed-minded personalities on the CB who can’t appreciate a song with a fine, deep-rooted cultural background, regardless of personal religious beliefs. I personally am an avid collector of various genres of world music, since I’ve been trying to expand my scope of cultural knowledge to encompass the globe, quite literally. (I’m working on a novel whose background requires a massive diversity of cultural quirks to organize) I found this song to be a very helpful perspective on Easter as a religious day of celebration, especially because no one celebrates it on my side of the world. Thank you for this recommendation! Though I’m not a christian myself, I have grown attached to various songs related to the religion throughout the years, like Amazing Grace, Lamb of God, and Salva Nos, among others. There’s absolutely nothing to be worried about. Music Club is a place to share your tastes without burden.Car Song:
I had the best laugh of the day listening to this one XDDD It’s very…aggressive, the name is straightforward, and it reminds me of the hyper pop genre. One of my past favorite songs, Disco Panzer by Alan Aztec, also mirrored this energy; it’s that type of song that cranks up the excitement in a partying crowd, I suppose. Very catchy, 7/10. One point has been subtracted for the unfortunate lack of volume warnings. Please do not play this on full volume like I did tonight, your eardrums will thank you for your deeds.-
Thalorwin@ZealGuestTysm! That made me feel so much better!!! I have a song recommendation for you cause you like Christian songs, how about Hale by Phil Wickam, Your Way’s Better by Forrest Frank, and also maybe King of Hearts by Brandon Lake. They’re all very good. Thanks again!!

A Celestial SkyI listened to Sunday is Coming, and I thought it was pretty nice. I myself am Christian, though I don’t personally celebrate Easter. Nevertheless, it was nice to listen to!
For the Car Song, it’s very energetic! It seems great for a party! Personally not my taste, but cool nonetheless.

Milky WayWhoops, I’ve never listened to it with full volume before, so I didn’t think to warn you…😅

@AmethystGuestIt’s your turn to pick a song!

AmethystGuestI’m so sorry I promise I’ll listen to the other songs and share my thoughts on them later – but for right now, the next song is “La Bicicleta” by Shakira and Carlos Vives. It’s really fun and upbeat, with a lovely rhythm. Hope you all enjoy :]

AmethystGuestHere I am at last… I liked “Sunday Is Coming”! The sound of it is really nice – the singer’s voice is splendid – and parts of it are inspiring. Personally, I would prefer a slightly less gloomy/graphic take on Easter, since I think it has more to do with joy and the metaphor of rebirth rather than literal suffering, which is sometimes dwelled on a bit too much. But that’s just my take :)) I did enjoy it! And please don’t feel that you can’t recommend a Christian song; it’s simply important to not exclude other worldviews/religions/cultures, but that doesn’t mean that Christianity should be excluded either! We’re happy to hear your thoughts and ideas <3
As for the Car Song, oh my… gosh XD I don’t think I’ve ever heard something quite like that before… It’s very wacky and rather fun – definitely not my usual type of music, but I appreciate having been introduced to it >:)

Milky WayThis song was really good Amethyst! It had a catchy tune, and it’s stuck in my head now! My family’s actually going on a bike ride today, so this was great timing.

La Bicicleta:
First vibe that comes to mind: Daisy Bell, but lively and Italian. Which is a rather odd connection for my brain to make, but they are both about love and bicycles, so maybe it makes sense on that level. Very pleasant to listen to overall, though I’ll admit that it isn’t the type of pop that I usually listen to. Feels like riding a bicycle over rolling hills and beaten paths while listening to country folk sing and laugh from the houses you pass by occasionally. Thanks, Amethyst, for this adventure into Italian pop!
