yay it’s a half day today
also i’ve written 69 poems in 23 days… wheeeeeee chaos
also dyall ever keep a quotebook of things you hear in conversation / in passing that are funny esp w/o context? cause i started this cause of two of my friends and i love it so much.
also im borrowing this one book from my friend ace and it’s his favourite book and it’s so good so far. have yall read it (“Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow”). and dw i’m not gonna bite it--

Actually there were CBers who went by non-real names all the way back in 2008; not many, but there were a few! If you dig around in the Very Far-Back Pages you might be able to find some…
Using more unique names is kind of one of the nicest things about the CB – it gives such a vibe and personality to the website:)

hello Good People of the Chatterbox! im putting together another ultimate guide because since the cb updated, i think it would be useful to have a new one. it’s aaaaalmost ready to be posted, but first, i would greatly appreciate your input on (one or both of) the following two things! thank you very much :DD
1. when you go to type up your post and click on one of the tags in the toolbar (ie. B or I), does the clicking of the button get rid of paragraph/line breaks in the post? because this happens to me, and its really annoying, but it might just be my computer, and if its just me, i wouldn’t want to mention it in the ultimate guide lol!
2. anything at all you think would be useful to see in the new guide (ill be including everything relevant from the old guides btw)? this could be terms you think should belong in the glossary, bits of cb history or etiquette, cb activities, notable glitches, or anything else! if you want, you can type up a whole ultimate guide entry/definition for the topic, but you don’t have to; just mention it and ill do the rest :]

well, if you haven’t already, definitely define some old terms that might be mentioned. what would be fun is if you defined CAPTCHAEs as like… an extinct species or something. and maybe put that you can see the old site on the wayback machine, just so that no one forgets our history! again, I’m sure you’ve probably thought of these, but definitely be sure to maintain the CB’s history :3

1. No, it doesn’t do that at all for me. But it might be worth mentioning for people who have similar computers to yours.
2. Can’t think of anything atm, but I”ll let you know if an idea comes to me…:)

Here’s my input:
1. I had never done that before, and therefore did not know the outcome, but upon reading your about your dilemma I immediately tried it for myself. And the answer is yes, it does do that for me as well. (I don’t know why I worded that paragraph so weirdly, I’m sorry if that was strange for you)
2. I don’t know that I have much for you in that department… maybe just a few things: one, the most recent post does not always appear on the thread. For instance, when you click on down to earth and look at a thread to see if there is a new post, it doesn’t always show up. So yeah, maybe put that in there as a heads up or something. Also, I don’t know if that will be fixed eventually. But anyways! Um, the only other thing that you might mention is to make sure the cloud flare box has successfully verified you are human before you post. However, the cloud flare box does not always appear at first. Sometimes you have to click submit once and then it will appear. After that, you will find that your name or anything else you entered in the information box has disappeared, while your original post has stayed the way you typed it, except that all new-paragraph-lines and such are deleted. So you will need to retype your name and information and fix the post before you click submit again. Once that’s done, just make sure that it says “Success!” Before you submit. Then it should work.
I hope that all made sense and I’m sorry if it was confusing! (It probably was!) Hope this helps. And thank you so much for doing this. It’s very kind and thoughtful of you!

1. It doesn’t happen for me, but like Poinsettia said, it could be worth mentioning.
2. For italics and bolds, maybe remind people to make sure it’s on both sides? (It could just be me though who forgot about that.) Also you could include the two times CB shut down in CB history.

My mom is convinced that wolf fur should be called “wool” instead of sheep’s fluff being called “wool”. Why does she think this, you ask? Because she thinks that since “wool” sounds like the beginnin’ of “wolf”, wolf fur should be called “wool”. I’ve tried to convince her it doesn’t work that way, but she doesn’t want to listen. Just another normal day, isn’t it? Yes, yes it is.

i feel so pretty today!! i’ve been wearing purple and black for three days in a row now :O (yay purple lipstick!! but today it’s more magenta cause i got this cute pink with purple shimmer lipstick for less than 2$ yesterday-)
WAIT that reminds me!!! did yall know there’s iridescent eyeliner???? it’s so pretty aaaaaaaa i found four diff types and i got the two rainbow-iest ones bc heck yeah (yay cvs lol) and they’re actually drop-dead gorgeous i think i’m in love??? (also as soon as i found them yesterday, i texted this one friend of mine, i may have mentioned her? did i call her canary or smth? idk… she’s cool tho. anyways then we had a fun lil conversation and i was grinning the whole time i’m insane (ish) but yay oh my gosh
also also i’m really proud of myself for a bunch of things recently!!!! cause courage!!! overcoming anxiety!! yippee!! mainly cause of my one friend, ace, so that’s great. he’s amazing oh my gosh aaaa he’s like actually such a great friend idk what to do <3
