Artemis Fowl
Good books. Very...

Good books. Very intelligent. Artemis is incredibly awesome. No cats whatsoever.

You're both entitled to your opinions, although I will say that I think Artemis is awesome. That's just me. Especially after he turns good. (Or better, at least.) I didn't really like him at first either, but anyone who hangs around Holly Short has to have some of her awesomeness rub off on them...

These are probably my favorite books ever. I really enjoyed how, 1. the story was written from more than one perspective so that there were multiple protaganists and antagonists in the story and 2. that most of the time, in the series, Artemis actually wanted his family back together.  I find it hard to remeber (in the first 2 books)  that he is 12 and 13.  He seems much older than that.  I must say, I didn't like how in The Lost Colony there was a three year span and all the changes. That was a little hard for me to swallow.  My favorite probably has to be The Opal Deception.  Not only does he have to get his memory back but he has to beat someone smarter than him!(?)  And, really, he's not used to that at all....

Have any of you read Eoin Colfer's new book?  It's called Airman and it's quite different from his earler ones.  I highly recommend it.
