everyone who was typing in the harry potter role play that Emily posted, this is the new place to do it ( the other one had over one hundred posts). everything is the same, and we will start from where we ended.

If you recall from the books, Tom kept coming to Dumbledore begging again and again to work as defense against the dark arts teacher. but I guess we can do that, but it would kinda be going against the Harry Potter books. But sure why not!

O'Malley, Misty. Misty walked up to the Sorting Hat. When it was placed on her head it shouted RAVENCLAW! Misty walked over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down.

((Yesterday I saw the new Harry Potter movie. It was good. They left out a lot though. When it was over my little sister kept asking questions like "what was your favorite scene?" "who was your favorite character?" "who was your least favorite character?" and stuff like that. It got pretty annoying after a while.))

i saw it yesturday too!! it was really good, but i too agree, they left out alot. And what was with the burrow burning?! It was completely unnecessary in my oppinion. I wish there was more of Tonks in it. And what about the war?! and dumbledore's funeral! And tonks and lupin? i really didnt like it when Ginny told harry "close your eyes" and then she kissed him! ugh! And Luna saved harry not tonks!

Big-Lipped Alligator Moment vs. It Had Bellatrix In It... I choose to forgive them for the Burrow-gets-blown-up scene. Because it had Bellatrix in it. Luna, on the other hand, was not supposed to find Harry. Tonks was. And I miss the scene where Dumbledore terrorizes the Dursleys. :(

I'm going to start over with my character, now i've got the whole time thing figured out. I don't know excactly when Tonks was in Hogwarts so i'm just going to put her in right now if thats ok.
Hannah Tyler lifted her hat up a little and rubbed her forhead, watching the sorting come to a close. Professor Mcgonnagal called upon another "student to be", but Hannah hardly heard the name to occupied with her thoughts of her growling stomach. "Nymphadora Tonks!" called Mcgonnagal. A girl with a heart shaped face, light brown eyes, and short bubblegum pink hair stepped forward, scowling as if hearing her name gave her a stomach ache. she sat upon the stool watching the sorting hat being placed on her head. "mmhmmm" The sorting hat started."good mind, fairly smart, sure of herself, but brave, yes quite brave". The girls hair turned a violent shade of red, the same color of her cheeks. "Gryffindor!" The sorting hat shouted. The girl hopped up, her hair turning back to the bubblegum pink color of before. as she started walking to the Gryffindor table she suddenly tripped and fell straight down. ouch! Thought Hannah. The hall erupted with laughter. The girls hair was turning red again, redder than before. headmaster Dippet, stepped forward and bellowed "Quiet!" And the laughter subsided. the girl got up and walked carefully to her table, her hair still red. That is odd isnt it? Hannah said to herself, reffering to the girl's hair colors that kept changing.
The feast had ended, Hannah and her class mates were walking back to their common room. They reached the portrait hole and waited for it to ask the question(the ravenclaw's must answer a question based on knoladge and reasoning to enter their common room). the portrait started to speak, "I am considered an unlucky oman to many a man, people can see me if they have seen death, you must figure out what i am." "That's all the clues your'e gonna give us?!" shouted a boy about Hannah's age. She turned to him and said "If you had been paying any attention in magical creatures class last term, you woulda known." He looked dumbstruck. She turned to the portrait and said clearly: The Thestral." "very good" said the portrait. hannah tilted her head in gratitude and stepped inside along with her classmates, as the portrait swung open to reveal the entrance to their commonroom.

((...ok, I know you must probably be sick and tired of this by now but Tonks isn't born yet. Her mum- Andromeda Black- is still in school, somewhere between years 2 and 6.))

The feast at an end, Bellatrix fell into step with Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa sticking to her older sister like a shadow.
"Odd, don't you think?" Lucius said suddenly as they began the descent to the dungeons. "Dumbledore didn't mention a new Defense teacher."
"There wasn't anyone new at the Head table, either," Ainsley added.
"Maybe they've abolished the class," Bellatrix said with a laugh. "Wouldn't that be nice?"
"Though I doubt it," Lucius added. "Probably our new professor was just late."
Bellatrix grimaced. "Probably some balding Mudblood who couldn't tell a shield charm from a Patronus."
"Oh, I hope not," Ainsley said with a shudder. "I'd probably never be out of detention."
They arrived in front of the common room. Lucius offered the password, and they went in, followed by the rest of Slytherin house.
"G'night," Bellatrix said, stifling a yawn.
"'Night," Lucius replied absently.
Bellatrix- followed closely by Narcissa- vanished into the girls' dormitory.

Ainsley waved an airy good-by to Lucias, and followed Bellatrix and her smaller sister into the girls' dormitory, though staying a good distance behind. It was later than usual. Ainsley yawned and stretched, dropping onto her bed in the corner of the dormitory and placing her scarf over a nearby chair. She decided that there was no point in pulling jokes on the frehsman-after all, she didn't want to lose Slytherin valuable house points if the wished to crush Gryffindor that year. Instead, her mind was on the new teacher, hoping that whomever it was, that they were at least of pure blood stature and not liable to give her detention for paying no attention. The class won't do any of them the least bit of good, she thought to herself. Once the new world order is arranged, nothing will protect the Mudbloods and Muggles from wizardkind. But there was no time for evil plotting. Ainlsey got in bed and fell straight to sleep. Tomorrow was a busy day, after all. So much to do and so little time...
