I guess this is just a place to talk about good books, ask for recommendations, and give them!
So, here's a recommendation from me: Politics is for Power, by Eitan Hersh. It's basically about how to make actual political change locally, and it's honestly amazing, and it kind of changed my entire view on politics and how I treat it.
Anyone have recommendations for fantasy novels that aren't part of a series, and aren't like too mainstream or anything (because if it's popular I've probably read it XD)?

Over the last year Ive gotten really into dystopia/high fantasy books. Here are some of my favorites:
The Hunger Games (obviously)
Scythe (litteraly one of my favorite books of all time)
Shadow and Bone (Great fantasy book; there is like a 12 book series)
Ready Player one (amazing sci fi/dystopian book)
The Maze runner (sci fi/dystopian)
The Cruel Prince (I highly reccomend this book if you like a great plot and intresting political fantasy stuff)
Divergent (great dystopian/romance story)
Please tell me if you read any of these and enjoy them!!

For anyone wondering about how to read the shadow and bone series, here's the order:
Shadow and Bone
Siege and Storm
Ruin and Rising
^Those three are a trilogy
Six of Crows
Crooked Kingdom
^Duology
King of Scars
Rule of Wolves
^Duology
Also, I just finished reading 'Plain Bad Heroines' by Emily Danforth. It's a mix of Hollywood shenanigans, sapphic enemies-to-lovers, and dark academia historical horror. It stars so many women, so many lesbians, and so much plot and lore. It's a little mature (I'd say 13+), but mainly because it's pretty scary.

I just finished reading My Policeman because the movie is coming out soon. It was so good, but so sad. I would say probably 12+ though.

Ok, so I've read tons, literaturelly (hee hee) tons of books. Here's a few of my favorites:
Harry Potter (this is a necessary read)
Fablehaven (and it's sequel series, Dragonwatch)
Green Ember!
The Mysterious Benedict Society is awesome
Redwall (I've met a lot of people who don't think this 24-book-series is great, but I personally love it)
The Penderwicks
Five Kingdoms (a five-book-series by Brandon Mull)
Ranger's Apprentice (this series is AMAZING, as well as it's sequel series, Royal Ranger)
Anything by Roald Dahl
The Wingfeather Saga (by Andrew Peterson)

I would recommend Diary of a Minecraft Zombie, if you like minecraft. If you like hilarous romance, I recommend Takane and Hana. If you like action, dragons, fantasy, and romance, I recommend Yona of the Dawn. The books in bold italic are manga.
