My Complaints

My Complaints
So, I am Magda.
I like dancing ballet, making collages, and playing my guitar.
I would like to say that ballet is NOT super girlish and other stuff that people think about it; it actually requires a lot of strength and is hard. But it is beautiful at the same time. That is why it is a kind of art. Art requires skill and is often pleasing to the eye.
I am homeschooled. One of the questions I hate is "what is homeschooling like?" What is regular school like? Do you want to answer that question honestly and describe school in detail, or do you want to answer with some vague adjective like "it's good, or fun, or okay." I would prefer to do neither.
Another thing I dislike is when my friends don't write back after I send them letters. Is everyone illiterate? Even worse is when they respond with an email or phone call (though that hasn't happened in a while)!
I hope that my complaints are heard (or rather, read).
P.S. You can comment w/your own complaints, if you'd like.

I do not agree with anything my sister says here except for the part about lack of responses from friends.  I get people's email addresses all the time, then they respond once or twice (or not at all), then go silent.

Hi Magda S! I also do ballet and I agree it does take lots of strength and effort. I also do pointe, and that is at least 5 times harder than ballet! I have taken ballet since I was 4, so I've danced for 9 years! How long have you been in ballet?

I do pointe, too. I've been taking ballet since I was 5 years old, so I've been dancing for 7 years. I am going to finish level 4 of the Vaganova technique this year. Do you take any other types of dance? I only do ballet right now.

I love ballet and I have been taking it since I was three, so that means that I have been doing it for 7 years too!!  I also take modern and lyrical.

My complaint is whenever I take off my glasses people alway hold up their hands and say, "How Many Fingers Am I Holding Up?" and it's really kind of dumb.  Because almost nobody has that bad eyesight.  Does anyone else on the CB wear glasses?

I do! All the time except when I'm swimming or sleeping.

I know, right? My eyesight is terrible, but with my glasses off things only look really blurry. You have not magically grown an extra finger. If you have, I would get that looked at.

OMG me too! But I do have almost that bad eyesight, depending on how far away they are (Unfortunately). I  take my glasses off when I'm swimming, sleeping, writing, drawing, reading, collaging, or other stuff that involves looking at things that are close to my face.

Me too!

But what really bugs me is my eyesight is not actually that bad! My glasses are helpful when I am, like, trying to read something in small print on the opposite side of the classroom or something.

Also, when I take my glasses off other people wear them.

Hi Magda, I dance ballet too! I agree with everthing you said about it. I hate when people think that ballet is prancing around in a frilly, pink, tutu. I also do Pointe, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary.

I'm also homeschooled! Some of the most annoying questions I get is "Do you get to do school in your pajamas?" and "Do you have homework?" My answer to the second one is "All my work is homework." Another annoying thing is that my friends can't just ask once, they HAVE to ask me the same question a million times. They can't have already forgoten my answer last time they asked!

Hooray! I'm homeschooled too! I love it! I don't mind so much being asked what homeschool is like, because I like to encourage others in it, but I DESPISE it when people think I'm not socialized enough! Get real! It's not like we homeschoolers stay in closets all day and do nothing but school! I do have friends! Ballet has just never been something that has caught my interest, but I like the look of it! And I love the look of celtic dance! I also despise when friends won't write back! It DRIVES ME NUTS! I'm glad someone else feels the same! What's wrong with letter writing? Honestly, I never email. Don't even have an email address! You go through the bother of writing someone which a) can take a while, and b) you often put a lot of detail into those letters, showing you care! The least someone can do is bother to reply! Ugh! So yes, dear Magda, your complaints are read, and well agreed with!

Cappie says agre. I think he agrees!

I also dislike it when people think homeschoolers are sheltered or unsocialized. As a homeschooler, I can go to museums, workshops, and other awesome opportunities, and not through a school field trip.

I don't have an email address either!

I hate it when people don't write back. I have email, but mostly I email my grandma and aunts.
