My Complaints

My Complaints
So, I am Magda.
I like dancing ballet, making collages, and playing my guitar.
I would like to say that ballet is NOT super girlish and other stuff that people think about it; it actually requires a lot of strength and is hard. But it is beautiful at the same time. That is why it is a kind of art. Art requires skill and is often pleasing to the eye.
I am homeschooled. One of the questions I hate is "what is homeschooling like?" What is regular school like? Do you want to answer that question honestly and describe school in detail, or do you want to answer with some vague adjective like "it's good, or fun, or okay." I would prefer to do neither.
Another thing I dislike is when my friends don't write back after I send them letters. Is everyone illiterate? Even worse is when they respond with an email or phone call (though that hasn't happened in a while)!
I hope that my complaints are heard (or rather, read).
P.S. You can comment w/your own complaints, if you'd like.

Oh, yeah, I'm homeschooled too!

I think my biggest complaint would be this.

I'm not homeschooled, neither am I the kind of person who actively avoids people. I am, however, an antisocial potato. This does not mean I scorn company - I have friends and I enjoy their company. I'm an introvert. Those exist. Not everybody is fine with being somewhere with people they barely know so they can "better get to know their community". I like books and corners and squishy armchairs that you can put your feet on and hot chocolate. I do not like talking to people unless I can think out my words before I say them (such a place is here on the CB. I can read over my post before I hit 'Submit' and I like that).

Yava says gghk. Give Gimli Happy Kittens. Yes!

I get that ballet thing.  I don't take it anymore, but it was HARD.

Welcome to the Chatterbox, guys!

@ L; I agree with everything you said. I'm the same way. I have friends, I like talking with them, but I don't go out of my way to make them or be overly social. Though, I'm told I talk too much. One of the reasons I like CB. Nobody looks at me and says, You never stop talking, do you? Some people!

@ Ivy; People sometime ask me if I go to school in my pajamas, but I often volunteer the info. Yes, yes I do. Sometimes. When I can get away with it! I also get the question: Do you have homework? Seriously people. What's the point of homeschooling if you have homework? More work after you're done? Also, how long does it take other homeschoolers to finish, just for curiosity? I usually start around 9 and finish around 12, if I put my mind to it and focus.

Cappie says rchi. Ribbons cover hairy iguanas. Okay.

I took Health online last summer, I guess that counts as homeschooling in a way. It was kind of just like normal school, except you could e-mail other people and do other things while listening to a lecture. It was pretty crash. I would probably do it again if I had to get prereqs out of the way.

I know someone who's thinking of being homeschooled and not spending the rest of the year at our school.

I do agree about the letters thing, but it is true, I write a letter, leave it on my desk, and forget about it forever.

Something I must complain about even though it's completely off subject.

Every person who doesn't know me (and only a whole bunch of people know me) and others think that MY PENCIL SHARPENER IS MASCARA! Arrgh! It's mascara, if you want pencil shavings all over your face! Sometimes I honestly WANT to open my pencil sharpener and pour all the shavings on their face! The only reason I bring it to school is because it works really well, it's not cheap or anything.

Also, 6th grade? I'm beginning to know where all of the middle school sterotypes come from (though I'm in elementary).

That doesn't apply to me, because a) I never wear any kind of makeup, and b) mechanical pencils are the bestest of friendsies!

I actually despise makeup, so I don't see why anyone should think I would have mascara.

I agree about the machanical pencils, it's mostly for my colored pencils, which I do need to sharpen about 24/7.

Another quick problem-solver... I do all my coloring in pixlr. I ink with normal pens, but then scan it in and color. I always thought it looked cleaner that way.

What's the sixth grade stereotypes? I'm in sixth grade.

They all come from my school.

No, just kidding, but my friends and I are the nerds, and I'm the nerdiest person I know and there are still totally middle school sterotyped things going around.

My complaint is that the Harry Potter books are only seven and end in way that demands more books, except JKR won't write any more. I'm getting tired of re-reading them in vain hopes for another one. I am sure this feeling is shared by many, maybe including my sis, whose shoulder I am typing over. She says she will comment on this after it's approved by Admin.

I know!!! I want JKR to write books about Harry's kids at Hogwarts, but it doesn't seem like she will be doing that anytime soon. I guess we'll have to be happy with re-reading HP for now.

I'm actually okay with that. I feel like in DH, JKR just kind of fell in love with words. If she wrote another series, it would just feel like a cheap imitation and nobody would like it. Think of the Warriors series (does anybody here still like that?): It was okay until EHunter didn't know when to shut up.

So, of course, Al, Rose, James, Scorpio, Hugo, Teddy, and Victoire's stories are up to us to write in the form of epic fanfic!

I have been alerted by a HUGE Harry Potter fanatic that JKR does (I don't know for sure if still) plan on writing a series about the kids, but not for some time. The rumor was not for almost 10 years. Not sure if this is true, just what I heard.
