Daily Chatterbox News!

Daily Chatterbox News!

Katydid (was it Katydid or Savvy? Or Hotairbaloon?) said we needed more fun threads, so here is one! I shall be editor of the Daily Chatterbox News, the first three people to post that they would like to be reporters get the job of reporting, and everyone can "submit" in poems, essays, stories, etc. Advertisements cost one amazing word, such as "Placid, tremulous, grotesque," and all that. Large advertisements cost a whole sentence including lots of amazing words! You may advertise RPs, surveys, grocery stores, bath mats inc, blue shoes inc, virtual lemonade, etc. I will try to post a new day every day!

Please submit stories, poems, etc to this address:

I'm posting a picture!

I really hope this comes through, but it's gonna be pretty blurry no matter what.

Sorry DR, no picture is showing up.

Reporting:

The infamous "Hotel Le'Faye" has disappeared this morning from its assumed address of 221b Baker Street. l am baffled. It simply isn't there, yet nothing can be more complicated.

l mean, really. Did it just grow rocket boosters and blast into the starry skies? Of coures not. Such things are not within the realms of possibility.

There have been a few theories , which l hereby the relate to you and their levels of  possibility.

1. They blasted off into the starry sky. (Impossible. When was the last time a hotel blasted into the sky?)

2. They were eaten by a giant bunny rabbit. (Impossible. Giant bunny rabbits are all locked up in a fish tank.)

3. They didn't exist in the first place. (Impossible. Everything exists.)

4. They just decided to pack up and leave. (Impossible. No one ever packs up. They pack down.)

5. We are all invisible.  (Possible. l can't see you, and you can't see me, so this this the most possible.)

Submitting a poem:

Mountain through a hiker's eyes:

Strong, majestic, and beautiful,

I look up the mount, determined to reach the top.

Starting to climb, I begin my journey

Up, up, up,

the tall, tall mountanside.

Like an arrow, it shoots towards the sun

sweeping the sky with it's snow capped peak.

Pausing for breath,

I stop to look around

and just let the sounds of nature surround myself.

What it's called: Ok, here it

What the RP is about: We are kids at an evil orphanage, with small powers, running away from the government. We all have to wear a black shirt with grey pants, and we have to have a job every day. We have disgusting meals, (breakfast and dinner) and if you aren't on time, you miss the whole meal.

Charrie form:

Name:

Age:

Personality:

Appearance:

Power: (only small ones please!) Ex: electricity, two way telepathy.

Submitting a poem.

Fall

I can't wait to feel the cool Autumn breeze,

Blowing against my face,

And whistling through the trees,

Carrying scents of pie,

Picking up the leaves,

And moving them around,

As many as it does please,

Plucking Crimson apples,

From their leafy green homes,

Running through the gardens,

And scaring all the gnomes,

Carving Orange pumpkins,

Scooping out the goop,

Roasting all the seeds,

Stepping away from the deer poop,

Putting out Jack-O-Lanterns,

Which cast an eerie light,

Running around in costumes,

Having fun all night,

Eating a delicious dinner,

On Thanksgiving night,

Turkey and stuffing,

Is sure to satisfy my apatite,

So now I'm sure that you can see,

Fall is the best!

------------------------

I case you couldn't tell, Fall is my favorite season.

@Rose Bud- I know you said no submissions after the 25th. Sorry, I was late. Also, didn't you say you were going to make a separate thread for the actual news, and that this would just be for submitting things? I was just wondering when you were going to make that.

Thank you all for your contributions! I will go over everything. Look out for the first issue of the Chatterbox News!

I will post another thread. Tuesday I was away most of the day; today I had school, so I am just now getting to formatting the news. School is a huge priority right now, and it demands most of my time; even some on the weekends, so expect a lot less posts from me as this winter progresses.

I'm sorry, Joan, but we will not be publishing your poem in the latest issue. Please keep trying! Your work is amazing and I hope to see more of it in the future!

Dragonrider, your poem is accepted!
