Philisophical Question:

Philisophical Question:

Seti I is the Pharoah. He is the most powerful being in Egypt. Anyone less powerful than Seti I is a subject. The combined Subjects for the People.

Seti I gets his power from the gods. But Seti I is the most powerful being. Anyone less powerful than him is a subject: a member of the People. Following that logic, Seti I gets his power from the people, because the gods are less powerful than Seti I.

Is that statement true?

Who says the gods are in Egypt?

That's true, I think. That's actually really good logic (if I'm right, which I think I am).

Indeed, Seti I therefore, gets his power from the people. Unless, of course, he decides to believe he is second in power, and that the Egyptian gods are higher. Then he gets power from a higher being, not his people.

Although, now that I think about it, psychologically, we all are natural leaders. Therefore, we would usually call ourselves in the highest power if put in such a position. So technically, being the most powerful is all an illusion for all leaders, including Seti I or even our own government, or a king, queen, that, etc.

Great statement to bring up though! It's a lot to think about...

...the German keeps the fish?

(I see no reason why it would be untrue, although if my knowledge is correct, it would be highly unusual in ancient Egypt for a Pharoah to be considered more powerful than the gods6. Equal to, maybe.)

In the way that you've phrased this, you label anyone less powerful than Seti part of the "People", not just people, so by saying that Seti I is the most powerful being, you are essentially answering your own question.

Seti I does get his power from the collective known as the "People", because that basically includes everyone else.

However, because you wrote, " Seti I gets his power from the people", not People, the statement could be true, or it could be false.

But it depends on what kind of power we're talking about here.

On the subject of magical powers, it's false.

On the subject of power over others, it's true. Without his people, Seti I would have no power because he has no one to rule over, and therefore is powerless.

If that non-capitalized P was just a typo, then yes, Seti I does get his powers from the People.

You can get power from less powerful beings.

You say gods with an s, so there are clearly multiple. If he gets his power from multiple, it stacks up so that, say each god is at a 4 with power, they each give him 1 and he gets a number greater than 4 and is therefore more powerful.

S.E, I never thought of it that way, stacking up power. That makes perfect sense though, the way you put it.

Ahhhhh I hate logic. I have to say, Gared and September, y'all are really smart, but my brain exploded when I had to learn how to make those boxes with all the lines and arrows and A, E, I, and O corners. So now I don't have much of a brain for logic. Although all those fallacies are fun (especially ambiguity and others). Tuna biting of coast of Washington!

To anyone who has not taken logic this will be a bunch of gibberish.

It seems to me that it would only be true if we established that the gods are in Egypt.

If they were in France, they could be more powerful than Seti I.
