Since we can't seem to agree, I say we vote on it.  The contestants are:
  1.  Bud, Not Buddy
  2.  The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
  3.  A Narnia book
  Or Grace could just say "We are doing _" and that would be the end of it.  It IS her turn. :)

Thanks. I actually like kind of sad and thoughtful endings, like in 'A Mango-Shaped Space' but when they're based on real events, they're harder on me.

I don't think this voting thing is really going to work. I think Grace should just say 'We are doing so-and-so." It makes everything easier. However, if we are voting, I choose The Magician's Nephew.

I agree. Let's just do The Princess Academy. We'll all get turns, and if one of us has to skip a turn, then s/he can skip a turn. Okay? Now that we've agreed on a book... how are we actually going to do this? Some of us might read slower than others or might not have enough time, so how will we decide how long in between meetings? Also, what exactly are our 'meetings'? Are we going to try and do an instant chat, or just make a thread? We need to hammer out some details before we start.

So glad we have a book! O.K., I totally agree with The Princess Academy!! I've heard of it. It sound GREAT!!!!! So how is this going to work? Are we going to read a chapter every 2 or 3 days then have a chat on-line for 1 or 2 days, then read the next chapter?

I also LOVE Shanon Hale and have read all of her books (except the one more for adults), but that is ok with me if we read them.
