Hey guys, I am new at the CB and love it already!
I am a colossal addict of reading and I love words. I like to cook in my free time aside from reading, playing the piano or percussion, and schoolwork. I am homeschooled so I have a lot of free time.To fellow homeschoolers what curriculums do you use? I use Sonlight for history, bible, literature, and science, Singapore for math, and Latin for Children for latin.

As you can probably tell from my age I am going into 6th grade as well! What state do you live in? Just FYI Sonlight is a Christian program too. Hope to read you around!

Oh cool, lots of homeschoolers. Quarantine vs. introvert? I say quarantine vs. homeschooler lol
I homeschooled for 5th and 6th grade (after going to a montessori for most of elementary school) and then got accepted to an online program, stanford online high school (they offer middle school too). So I guess I'm still homeschooled as in I do school at home...
I like reading too, and I also love writing and reading. I'm currently working on an urban fantasy novel. Nice to meet you ^^

Hope to read you around.You are right about quarantine vs homeschooler, things hardly changed for me except that all my siblings were home. (they all ( I have three) went to school last year)
My younger brother will be homeschooling 4th grade, I will be homeschooling 6th grade this year and my 2 older sisters will be going into 8th grade and sophomore year of high school.

Hi PandaGirl, welcome to the CB! It's a great community to be a part of and I hope you enjoy your time on it. I'm not homeschooled but my cousins are. I'm going to start high school in the fall, but in the summer I like to stay busy. I'm currently learning Spanish on Duolingo, and I want to learn ASL. I also sometimes watch an AP Government class online and I watch documentaries as well.

Thank you for the welcome! I totally am enjoying this time on the CB. I saw that you are a Christian and was wondering what Christian music you like because 95% of what I listen to is Christian. I really enjoy Keith and Kristyn Getty. Just had an interesting realization, that you are almost exactly like my cousin except a year younger!!!( I found some things about you around the CB)

Welcome PandaGirl! I'm a little late to the party, but disregarding that, I love your name! Pandas are really adorable. I'm not homeschooled, but for distance learning we used Google Classroom and Zoom, which was quite interesting. Well anyway, welcome to the CB!

Thank you for the kind welcome. Pandas are definitely my favorite animal and have just about always been. When I was about 2 or 3 I had these 2 panda stuffed animals and if I did not have both of them I could not go to sleep.(My older sister told me this.)I go into the school for band and star testing therefore have a school google acount.(one more reason would be that if I ever decide to go to school then it's easier for the people in charge if I already am "in" the school system)My siblings all used Zoom and google classroom.
