A very Shortened

Chatterbox: Chirp at Cricket

A very Shortened

A very Shortened Quizzy thing: I have about 5 minutes to do this, it's 12:30, my dad wants me to be in bed, so here we go: Wait, I have a better idea:

Tell a quote from a book, a movie, and a song. Now.

Book: This is very random. "S'matter?" he said.

Movie: "Mad and hairy? You woudn't happen to be talking about me know, would you"? Yes I know, very easy, but it's 12:30. Nuff said.

Song: "Yellow matter custard dripping from a dead dog's eye." Hint: think bugs.

Made it!

Book: "I had never built anything for anyone famous before."
Movie: "Oh... look at it now. You wouldn't mind if I gave it a nice juicy meat pie, would you?" "Si si si, whatever you want." "Come on, love. Your teeth's strong, I hope."
Song: "So you catch me in it right up to my ears when you put it away on the larder shelf..."

@MaryLizW: Yes, it's called Star Trek: The Next Generation. That one is from their second movie, First Contact. It is said by Picard, the captain, after escaping the Borg. Data is a sentient android.

@ Brynne: When a hippo can dance it's a thrilling revelation.

When a hippo can dance there is nothing to say.

When a hippo can dance, it's an overnight sensation.

Don't delay, teach you hippo today.

I , too, love that song. You should make a Blue Moo thread in Pudding'sPlace. Or I will.

@ TNO (umlaut): Oh... I'm think I'll take a completely wild guess and say that at least two thirds of those are from Sweeney Todd or some form of it... but whatever would drive me to assume something as random and unlikely as that?

The movie quote is Sweeney Todd, yes. The book's a bit obscure (it's a memoir), and the song's from, um, Cats.

:P

Book: (wasn't yours Harry, when he first wakes up in... maybe the fifth book...)  Mine:  "I felt a fresh pain in my hand.  Then my thumb flew up and reattached itself."  *crazy grin*

Movie:  "Lemuel (spl?), your not making any sense!"

Song:  Gross.  Mine:  "1 2 3 4 tell me that you love me more"

:D :D :D

Book: "Think of the music penned in this fragile, pale blue wall," said Dean one day, touching an egg gently. "Not the music of the moon perhaps, but an earthlier, homier music. This egg will be a robin someday, Star, and whistle us blithely home in the afterlight." I think that's roughly accurate.

Movie: "I'm not dead, you idiot!.... Dragon warrior. I'm at peace." I love the contrast in that one.

Song: "And rain / will make the flowers / grow." Terribly sad song from Les Mis.

Book  *picks up random book*  "By all the gods!  I'd rather kiss than threaten you!" -Mara Daughter of the Nile

Movie "Swing Away,____" Forgot the name.  From the movie Signs.  That movie is so tension filled, but in the end it's not scary.  Good movie with... Denis Quaid I think.

Song, "Not for the lifeeee offff meeee!"  -Thoroughly Modern Millie.  Anyone else seen that musical?  It's one of my favs.
