TNÖ Haley...

TNÖ Haley...

TNÖ Haley...

Following Grace's introduction suggestion, because, well, at heart we're all egotistical maniacs, eh? And also because people keep asking, I figure I might as well have a place to point them rather than typing it all out again.

Let's see... TNÖ stands for "The Nearly Omnipotent", plus umlauts, and you pronounce it T-N-O. Just the letters. It originated from a letter to Muse in which I wrote as "The Nearly Omnipotent Haley", and then realized that TNO sounded pretty darn cool. Then I added umlauts because umlauts are wonderful.

My real name, of course, is Haley. Middle name is Michelle. And my last name is French (according to some people in Montreal, anyway) and begins with an F.

I like: Shakespeare, Dickens, Evanescence, Within Temptation, the Housemartins, Tin Man, Wicked, Bellatrix Lestrange, pie, Sweeney Todd, Tim Burton, Villains and Antagonists, Dracula, Cats, Hot Pink Bunnies (HPBs), SSSSs, writing, reading, House, Life (the show), Bones (the show), England, Ireland, Wales, cherries, strawberries, pomegranates, Greek and Roman mythology, fencing, Apple (the company) and the Mac, Broadway, pie, Michael Crichton, fantasy, NaNoWriMo, Les Mis, Spamalot and Monty Python in general, Phantom of the Opera, Rent (the play), Stephen Sondheim, my sword, my gecko, nationstates, Draco Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy, MuseBlog...

I do not like: The Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter (the character), Voldy, country music, rap, stupid pointless music like what my sister listens to, the XM station Top 20, pizza, realistic fiction, stupid people, narcissists, school, Windows and Microsoft, Bill Gates, the Twilight series, James Patterson, people with nonexistent or poor senses of humor, my mother when she tries to sing, my mother when she starts yelling, my mother when she starts chattering, accidentals in music, my "friend" Lisanne, geometry, running, PE...

In my spare time: Computer, computer, computer, Sweeney Todd, computer, computer, computer, read, read, read, computer, computer, computer...

The Tetons, of course! Isn't Yellowstone awesome? We were there once, and the buffalo invaded our campsite. We had to postpone dinner until they left...

Yeah!!  It was really cool to see the wildlife.  Most people think that Maine is flowing with animals (mostly moose), but really, I had never seen a coyote until Yellowstone (in fact, I saw over two dozen on our whole trip).  We got caught in a bison jam up.  It was sort of funny. :)

Coyotes hang around our house a lot during the winter... I think they're hoping to score an easy meal of either one of the cats or my sister's little dog who I despise. Owls do, too... A couple years ago my cat got carried off by an owl. Oh, and we get antelope and deer all the time, and there's a pair of red-tailed hawks in this tree below our house (we live on a hill). We don't get moose very often, as they prefer the willows down by the river, closer to town. There's a porcupine that comes around every so often, and a rabbit infestation (seriously, I've seen about ten of them in the past week). And in the summer we sometimes see bald eagles in the trees. And up near Jackson, in the cliffs and such along the road, during the summer you can see bighorn sheep.

The town is located in what's called a bottleneck, it's this kind of valley in the Windriver Mountains, and it's where a bunch of species' migration paths cross (elk, moose, deer, antelope, etc.), so... :) Lots of animals.

Bwah...  Hwah...  Heh??  *faints*  And I thought there were a lot of animals HERE!!!  *faints again*  Here we see deer.  SO MANY DEER.  But other than that...  The occasional otter, muskrat, beaver, hawk, porcupine, moose, wolf, fox, raccoon, or bear VERY RARLEY.  This year we didn't see a single bear or moose.  Mice, shrews, or snakes are common enough.  And Canada geese (duh).  Mostly deer.  When someone says, "Oh, look!  A deer!", my brother and I just say, "Really?  Hmm." and continue doing whatever we were doing.

Oh!  I almost forgot mergansers!  They're EVERYWHERE. :):):)

Ok, TNÖ, you remind me so much of my brother, that I have to ask you:  are you obsessed with Sudoku????  He loves it, and will spend hours at it, while I think it's really boring...  Well, I only actually played it once, but he always wants me to watch, which is REALLY boring.  So, yes?  No??  I can't wait to hear from you!!!!!!  :)

Ooo! My mom and I like to play Solitaire! hehe! I looked up the population of Minnesota...5,167,101. Oh, It says that was in 2006! hehe, I'll look for a more current one.... *later* I can't find anything current! Now I"m going to look up St. Paul! (St. Paul ROCKS!) 111,131... STILL 2006! There's one that says 3.2 MILLION... in 2008, but good enough! That was the Twin Cities, the suburbs, and some of Wisconsin. It ALSO says it's the 18th fastest growing area in the country! And of course they ALWAYS have the Mall of America included SOMEWHERE! THe Mall of America is nice, but it's not the best thing that's ever happened! Oooo! I can't wait for the winter carnival! YAY! It's coming SO soon! Can't wait!
