Sure why not. ZNZ is a Christian, carbon-based life-form, writer, Discworld addict, and insane bibliophile. Adjectives that apply to her include geeky, sarcastic, pessimistic, obsessive, weird, and introverted. She has double-jointed elbows and she loves semicolons and footnotes. When she's not writing novels, she can be found reading fantasy and sci-fi and just about anything with a dragon on the cover. One day she will take over the world.

Hello, I am TOP, the Chatterbox star. I've helped dead threads rise to their former glory again. My hobbies include... thread reviving, writing TOP in caps, and laughing at people who try to guess my identity. I love all the sections, and I love dead threads... LIKE THIS ONE!

'Kay....I'm Mattie.  Not short for Matilda or Madeleine, for Martha.  But I prefer to be known as Mattie. (In other words,  you all MUST call me Mattie.)  I love reading; I'm a bibliomaniac.  I like to believe I'm part Feanorion.  I am obsessed with anything by JRRT.  I love the Silmarillion especiallly.  But those aren't the only books I like.  I love the Prydain Chronicles, the Chronicles of Narnia, Savvy, the James Herriot books, Outlaws of Ravenhurst, etc...  I also love to write, mostly fanfiction.  I have actually joined a Warriors RP ( y'all can gasp in shock now) and I was in a Lotr one before it got out of hand.

Favorite sections: Inkwell, Chirp at Cricket, Blab about Books.

I don't really have any favorite threads.

P.S.  I speak Elvish. (More Propery, Sindarin and Quenya.)

And as a parting word:

A Elbereth Gilthoniel

o menel palan-diriel

le nallon si di'nguruthos

A tiro nin, Fanuilos!

Bye!:)

I'm adding more to my profile...

I am a Southerner born and bred.   This means that... I eat collards and sweet potatoes, support the CSA, speak with a (very slight) Southern accent, say "y'all" and "ain't"...but it pretty much ends there.  I am no hillbilly.

I play flute and piano competitevly.  I am in a Youth Orchestra, and I love it like crazy.  I am auditioning to get back in on Thursday.  I am playing Chaminade's Concertino for Flute and Piano.

In piano, I am playing Schumann's Concerto in A minor , Telemann's Fantasia in B flat, Soler's Sonata #84, Faure's Romance sans Paroles, and Debussy's Prelude from Pour le Piano.  Look that last one up on YouTube and listen to it.

I want to go to a really good music school for college.  I'm thinking about Eastman or Peabody.

I am a Traditional Catholic and I belong to the Society of St. Pius the Tenth.  (Ever heard of it?)

I have an unhealthy obsession with Quenya, the House of Feanor, fanfiction, the House of Feanor, Luthien/Beren/Thingol/Melian/Galadriel faultfinding, the House of Feanor, Galadriel faultfinding, and the House of Feanor.  Enough said.

I lovee the soundtrack from the Lord of the Rings, especially the Lord of the Rings.

Anar kaluva tielyanna!!!!

Kicy says road.  Oh yeah..."Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong, West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home..."

My name is Hannah (☺☻), but I think I'd like to go by Kiwi:) I love to read fantasy and realistic fiction, and write fantasy, realistic fiction, and science fiction. My favorite sport is tennis. I take singing, piano, and English Country Dancing (ECD) classes. I make up too many stories than I will probably be able to finish, and would like to work at an orphanage one day. I am quite a huge fan with Merlin. My favorite color is purple, fave animal are rabbits, squirrels, and koalas, and have been (and still are) obsessed with fairies, Nimue(h), Harry Potter, werewolves, Sinbad, and Ireland.

I'm Ima, but I'm probably going to change my name to Bibliophile, Xenomorphida, Curiosity, or something else in early June. If it turns out to be Xenomorphida, and you don't now what that means, and you don't find this for months or years because you're not currently on the CB or just somehow miss this thread, so you know me as Xenomorphida and don't know why, it means strange form (in Greek, I think) and is an archaic word for tardigrade. Tardigrades, AKA water bears/moss piglets, are microscopic animals that I'm obsessed with. They have amazing survival abilities. Anyway, like everyone else here, I love reading. Virtually all my spare time that isn't spent on the computer is spent reading, and there are really only 3 main things I do on the computer (CB, MuseBlog, and research, usually on tardigrades), though I do others at time (pretty frequent times, actually), so I read quite a lot. I'm a girl, and at the moment I'm 12 years old, though I'll turn 13 in July. I like all the forums here, but in order from they are: DtE/BaB (I can't choose), CaC, Inkwell, PP, TM. I don't think I have a favorite thread. I don't make threads very often, but I often comment, and my comments are usually long and rambly. I don't get Cricket at the moment, but I plan to start getting it again (I used to) soon. I get Muse, though, and it's awesome! I highly recommend it. Especially to ZNZ, because she just seems like the sort of person who would like it. Let's see... I'm vegan and have a lot of food sensitivies (corn, wheat, soy, rice, tomatoes, and almost everything else), so I can't eat many things. I love nature and biology and want to be an ethologist when I grow up. I live in Texas, but I wish I lived somewhere colder. I only have one dog right now, petwise, but in the past, I've had another dog, 4 fish, 3 African dwarf frogs, and 12 snails. Obviously, these were not all at the same time. I wish I had a ferret, but my dog wouldn't accept that. I'm ill at the moment, unfortunately, bu we're finally starting to figure out what might be causing it.

ZNZ is quite curious as to what exactly Muse is like and why she is seen as the type of person who may like it, especially as she is considering terminating her subscription to the publication that is Cricket. Care to elaborate?

ZNZ, you can view a sample of Muse and all our other magazines at www.cricketmag.com.

Hm. Well, you seem to like quite a lot of the same sorts of things as all the people I know who like it, so it would make sense, and you just have a lot in common with them in general, and... it's hard to describe, actually, but you just seem that way. Oh, well. As for what it's like, see Admin's link. The section on Muse will have a brief description, and then you can click on the sample to see whether you like it. I know 2 other samples, too, and can direct you to them if you want to see them.

Anyone else interested can also feel free to look at a sample.

Hi! I'm Olive and my real name's Olivia. I am one of, probably, three Canadians here. (??) I like to read, write, surf the Net, and play the piano (ish). But I don't like to practice. I also have a NaNovel  (from 2010) that is in the midst of the painstaking editing process. :)

I'm ~Sam~. I started off as just Sam. I am 11 and turning 12 in 2 months and a half. Somewhere on DtE I think it was I wrote my birthday. June 2nd. I am very athletic, and now that sports season has started I'm finding it hard to find time for CB. But I LOVE to write! I'm also very artistic. My dad works at a bank, and my mom is a stay at home mom. I have 5 dogs, and I love being sassy to people as a joke. Especially to my dad. *Grins evily* I play guitar, soccer, field hockey, softball, swimming, used to do tennis. I'm a HUGE tomboy. But not a crazy one. Like I don't wear my soccer uniform to school, but I absolutley hate girly stuff like makeup and jewlery. I have no clothes with pink, and only one purple shirt that's to small for me anyway. I like to post like once of twice on lots of threads that catch my eye, and I have my name on a lot of threads. I think I've only made one maybe two threads though. I've been everywhere. I've been to London, Africa, South America, France, Italy, Greece, Rome, Hawaii. I've also been to California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Washington, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia. In fact the only place I really haven't been that I have no desire to go to is Canada. No offense to all you Canadians. But I just never really had the urge. Hm, I wonder why? Well I used to live in San Francisco, the suberbs of LA, and now I live in New Jersey. I prefer LA. I was born in San Fransisco and go visit my grandparents who live in Texas every summer. I even have a dog there. So I basically was raised in two places, LA, and Texas. My mom is Mexican-American, and my dad is German. He was born in Germany and everything. I speak English (obviously), Spanish, most of German (I only don't know a few words, like cheese. I never got cheese for some reason), a little Italian, and some French (If you count 1 2 and 3).

Sorry if it sounded like I was bragging. But that's what came to my mind first.

I think kase (ka-zeh) is German for cheese. I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to visit both the Vancouver, BC, Canada, area and Banff and Lake Louise. Also Victoria on Vancouver Island and the Butchart Gardens. The scenery was spectacular! I love mountains. I hope to visit eastern Canada sometime, too, the Atlantic coast and Prince Edward Island.
