Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Gah, DtE is

Gah, DtE is dead.  So, what's on your mind?

@TNÖ

Yes.

(Thank you for being rational and respectful!  I am still working on that!)

Yeah...at this point- well, social issues are important, but I think the main focus should really be the economy. And foreign policy.  In my opinion, Obama seems to be working against America's best interests abroad.  It looks to me like he's trying to diminish our reputation as a strong country and a strong presence across the globe.

As far as the social issues go, I don't agree with you on most of those- but that's a whole 'nother discussion.

Of course I don't think any less of you! Why should I?  And that you/we/I can rationally, respectfully discuss this is very encouraging to me.  It seems that a lot of adults really can't.  In my own extended family, we have lots of differing opinions (us being Catholic, my grandma being Methodist, our cousins being agnostic, us supporting Romney, them supporting Obama...yeah.  It gets interesting at times.)

Well.  Well then.

GAH WHY DOES POLITICS MAKE ME SO IRRATIONAL?

...And people, please let's not start a fight, or anything.  I...really don't want that.

You know, it's really stupid the way when personal political views clash, I get all mad and shaken up.  I just-

TNÖ, even though I totally respect your view and your choice as an individual, I...reallyreallyreally don't agree with you.  But we shall see, come November.

If I were of age and American, I'd vote for Obama. I've heard some miscommunicated quotes from both him and Romney. And Obama seems a lot more calm, cool, and collected.

But Paul Ryan seems like a reaaaalllyyyy good speaker.

Hi! Okay. I don't have much to say. How's the weather? It's rainy and dull here. :) School is really busy this year so I'll be on the Chatterbox less. *tears*

My postings will decrease by a little, but not much.  via school.

My dad is wearing a green hat.  Thought you might want to know that.

My postings have already decreased. And I'm supposed to be writing a persuasive paragraph right now, so I'll make what's on my mind quick:

- homework

- school drama. A snippet is that a girl is bribing my crush to come with this other girl to the dance...and that affects her, him, me, my friends, his friends, other people who have a crush on the boy in question, and the girl in question. Then there's the rivalry between me and two friends and three other girls. Then the teachers are getting involved and pairing us *cough* very conveniently. The school dance is in November. I think you get my point.

- the house that my family is moving into on Friday

- waffles, falcons, and Totoro.

- Wizarding rock. What these people do in their lives besides writing songs of praise to mandrakes (NOT JOKING) I don't even. Most of them aren't even good singers.

- J-Pop...aka the most annoying genre on the globe.

- Ouran High School Host Club, which two of my friends badgered me into watching. I didn't get past the ninth episode. WHY DOES NO ONE CARE THAT IT'S SEXIST AND POINTLESS AND AAAH.

- Photosynthesis and cell respiration.

Mello out? What does that mean?

I'd say it means "calm down" or "relax."

Yeah, take a deep breath.

I'm home schooled, so i don't get the whole school thing, but i know how hard it is. I have been to school and have heaps of friends who spend their whole time talking about it.

I'd give you a hug, but i'm in another part pf the world! Smile

Heh, the way you said that reminded me of MB. "Mellos! They're like a giant trumpet! BUT BETTER!"

Also, on the subject of marching band, we had an invitational in Halifax the other day (drove 2 hours to get to it - gehhh) and our show was, to say the most modest thing that comes to mind, EPIC.

I want mashed potatoes. Don't ask why.

I HAVE THINGS TO SAY.

So, Quintus, Sakura, and Red are the resident Rush fans here, right? Well, one of my friends likes them, and she dragged me to the Palace at Auburn Hills for their CONCERT on Tuesday! IT WAS AWESOME!!

So, I state that I have been halfway converted. Halfway because I'm not ready to give up Tokio Hotel and reggae, but I still really like this band a lot.

"So, we'll be playing 30 songs tonight- and not the short ones, either!"

WIN.

Yaaaaay! Another person who likes Rush! Which makes a grand total of four here on  the Chatterbox! Your friend is a very wise person.

The captcha says xzap which sounds like some weird sci-fi thing.

RUSH=EPIC!!

OK, OK. I've only heard one song. And not all 30 minutes of it. (That gave it away.) Yes, it's 2112. But it was DYSTOPIAN (:D) and all sorts of things. We got to listen to some of it and analyze the lyrics. "WE'VE TAKEN CARE OF EVERYTHING! THE BOOKS YOU READ, THE SONGS YOU SING!..."
