Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Gah, DtE is dead.  So, what's on your mind?

Whta's on my mind? Well...

-I just ate a sour lollipop.

-That reminds me of Artemis Fowl book 1 when he says "Lollipops."

-Which brings me back to my pocket mods, when the lollipops said "We are lollipops."

Yeah, so lollipops.

I love lollipops. Especially jolly rancher. But the big ones remind me Charlie's Chocolate Factory. That movie creeps me out. Which gives me nightmares. Which reminds me of all the horendous dreams I've had... So... Plus, sugar makes me tired, not energized. Odd.

So awful nightmares....

We had to watch Charlie and the Chocolate factory in first grade. The only part I remeber is when they were going throught that tunnel...

I saw Charlie and the Choco Factory years ago and remember most of it. Why creepy? I read that it was the Ooompa-Loompas, but I don't remember them being so freaky.

I'm generally not freaked out by movies. I wasn't even scared when I saw Jaws.

Butler was quite confused by that. But Holly was the bestest in that scene. Have you read the last book? I haven't yet, but I want to SO BAD.

Hey, Yava says hgrd. Hagrid!

No, I'm still on the second, though I hear there's, like, a million. Acatually I didn't hear that, I just saw a bunch of them at the bookstore.

Sorry, going off on another train of thought...

Does anybody know if Dave Barry and Riddley Pearson are making another Peter Pan book, after The Bridge to Neverland? Which, in my personal opinion, wasn't as as good as the others. Personal fave; The Sword of Mercy. So, does anybody know?

@BHR

I'm not sure.  I think they might, but I'm not sure.  I've read the first book in that series, and I loved it, but I can't find the second book anywhere.  Ridley Pearson is one of my favorite authors, because of Kingdom Keepers.  I'm rereading the series with my dad right now.  It got him into Ridley Pearson's adult books.  He found a signed copy of one at Costco!

I read the first three, and they said it was a trilogy, and I was kind of heartbroken.  Then I discovered they made a fourth and fifth and I said, "They betrayed us!"  I started rereading this first, and I didn't like it as much this time around.

Yeah, I actually read the second first. Found it at a used bookstore. It was like a deluxe copy, really nice. So I bought it, read it, and fell in love with it! I couldn't find the rest of the series FOREVER! They're so hard to find! Then I got the first three for my bday, and read the first and third. Then I got the fourth and reread the first three, and discovered I didn't like the first as much. Best the first time around. Though I loved the fourth!

*spoiler*

I loved the ending of Sword of Mercy for their gesture to the orginal with Peter tapping at the window while Wendy tells John and Michael a bedtime story! MY FAVORITE PART OF ALL THE BOOKS! *End of Spoiler (for now)*                                                                        So sweet! Honestly, don't know why, but I cry whenever I read that. Maybe because it was the end of the good ones. I don't care for Bridge to Neverland. (Don't ask why, unless you want a long bias rant). So... Also, I've read some of the Kingdom Keepers. Didn't care for the romance in it, found it unnecessary, but other than that, it was pretty good! Though, the computer stuff started going over my head. But anyway. Also, Melody, SO LUCKY! I will now check Costco for good books.

Totaly offsubject, but has anyone read the bone series of graphic novels by Jeff Smith? I love those books... I mean, I study them at the same time I'm enjoying them! And I made up one of those comparison things:

A paragraph is to a story what a panel is to a comic.

Needless to say, I probably should start picking up some more chapter books.

Bad me.

It's called an analogy:)

My brother likes those comic books.  He reads them with my dad all the time.

Acually, MY brother reading them was how I got into them.

He checked it out of the library, and when he finished, I read week.

YOU AREN'T SUPPOSE TO SHARE LIBRARY BOOKS, NAUGHTY THEO!

Scratch that, I did. Ha.

And I've only read the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 9th.
