Chatterbox: Down to Earth

So, I've noticed

So, I've noticed many Chatterboxers have code names, including myself. And that got me thinking. How did everyone choose their name for Chatterbox? Is it a pet's name, an idea from a book, or just an odd thing that struck you? I'd love to hear how everyone choose the name they use here!

Red is my actual name. Super interesting, right? Google tells me that that can't possibly be my real name. It would like me to change it. Ruby can't recall exactly how I got my name (his excuse was that it was a long time ago) but he says it was derived from a codename in Japanese that was translated strangely. Yeah.

Mine was derived, frankly, from my love of heroines who can hold their own, and often kick heroes butt if she so chooses! So, the main character in mind here was Annabeth, from the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series. The reason I said blonde was cause a) we get such a bad rep, and it drives me nuts! Our hair color has nothing to do with our strength or intelligence!, and b) it just symbolizes that any girl can be whatever she chooses to be, whatever the obstacles against her. We can be fully independent. I really have no prejudice against red heads, brunettes... or any other hair color. In fact, Anne Shirley, while isn't really a fighter, counts as one of my favorite "heroines". As does Jo March, Katy Carr, and many others. So really, it's just my way of saying "Nothing can hold me back, just watch what I will be."

Thanks! I sometimes get so fed up with stereotypes and what people want to automatically think of me, I purposefully go out and act different or weird! :)

Wow, Red is an awesome name!

My name is not actually Abigail, but A is my last initial. Abigail is what my parents named me, plus my best friend is named Abigail (we call her Abby) so its kinda a mix of that.

I have no idea how I came up with Everinne. Stroke of genius, I thought, but NO ONE steal it, please. I just love how Elvish it sounds.

I used to go by PiperC, which was a name of an old book character of mine.

I am not allowed to use my real name on here, so after much thought, I chose Mag Fan because I totally love Cricket Mag. Admins, do you know the real names of the people who use coded names or not?

No. We only know whatever it says in the comment that we post.

Looking back, it was a violent dystopic world society in which almost all of the main characters were mass murderers and more than a few were sadistic psychopaths, and were worse individuals than the individuals of the ruling group, although the ruling group was worse as a whole.

I don't know how I wrote this when I was eleven.

I guess I just really liked the Candleman, and I thought, "Why not? I'll just go with Theo W." And Lexi just sounded cool. And after I posted as Lexi, I read a book with a character named Lexi who was annoying but awesome. So there you go.
