WHAT DOES YOUR

WHAT DOES YOUR BEDROOM LOOK LIKE?

I've always wondered what CBer's bedrooms looked like. I mean, is it artsy? Is it simple? Is it glittery? I don't know.

My room looks like this...

Walls: painted yellow, with a design I cut out of magazines, which is a bunch of animals arranged into a heart, and also a Despicable Me minion cut-out leaning against the wall, plus an easel next to it, which is a chalkboard on one side and a whiteboard on the other.

Floor: hardwood

Bed: lavender bedspread with this floral design, two plain white pillows topped with a bumblebee pillow pet and then my favorite pillow, which is black and white with this gorgeous Chinese painting on it, along with a little Despicable Me minion stuffed animal in front of the pillows

Dressertop: a hot pink piggy bank that says "SHOE FUND," and next to that, this glass stand with perfumes, makeup, lotions, nail files, etc., and next to that, a ceramic owl painted gold with a cupcake-shaped dish that holds a bunch of loose change that I have nowhere to put, and lastly, my rubber ducky collection.

Shelves: a little white shelving unit with, on the first cubby-thing, my microscope (which is real and so so so cool since I love biology), and then the second one, all of my favorite books, such as HP, PJO, TFiOS, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Seekers, Little House, etc., and then the one below that has all of my books I have yet to read, and then the last cubby-thing holds my notebooks, like my science journal, my planner, and my prayer book.

Other: I have a keyboard in the corner of the room, with a modern-style white chair next to it, and also a spinny black chair in front of a section with my hair dryer, hair brushes, mirror, etc.

My Favorite Part of My Room: the white chandelier! It is so pretty. It's crystal-like and it has lavender light bulbs!

My room is really small, though...

I'm trying to get spring colors incorporated into it to make it happier, like the yellow and lavender.

I think my room is a mess, but really, it's the neatest room in the whole house.

Walls: painted light purple and I hate that. I'm not quite sure why. I just really dislike purple. I wish my walls were light blue (like my sister's.) Um...posters. There is a poster that says KEEP CALM AND DFTBA. My friend gave it to me for Christmas. Also a bunch of paintings/art things that I really really hate, but apparently my mom can't throw them way. So my room is kind of the art storage unit. Ugh.

Floor: hardwood.

Bed: my bed is made of wood and it's old and ugly. The same goes for my bedspread, whch I've had since I was like 7. I thought it was the best thing ever at the time, but now I really hate it. My parents won't let me redo my room. The bedspread is purple and it has flowers on it. Also two stuffed animals; one is a bunny and the other is a monkey and they're both from hospital gift shops because that's just what happens when you're me.

Dressertop: earring tree, useless iPod dock thing (useless because I lost the iPod), a card that Brikena sent me while I was in the inpatient program that she got a bunch of people to sign, a notebook that I have no use for, and my orchestra binder and Suzuki Book II. It's very rare that both music books be on my dressertop at the same time, though, because the orchestra binder spends most of its time in my backpack while the Suzuki book spends most of its time on the music stand (or the floor. The floor is a fairly common place to find Suzuki Book II.)

Shelves: bookshelf. There are too many books on this bookshelf for me to list them all. On top of the bookshelf there's this bulletin board thing and some OM trophies and...oh! The iPod Nano! I don't have a Nano charger, though.

Other: music stand, cello stand (with cello), the Basket of Doom (which is where I put the books that my parents ask me to put on my bookshelf that I don't like. This bin may or may not also be home to several very overdue library books.)

I really hate my room and the color of the room wouldn't matter if my parents would let me buy some posters, but noooooo. Because band merch is expensive, young lady. Gah.

Walls: All white and covered in miscellaneous posters, including: "reblog if you are in the Latin fandom" in Latin, comics, "the man who says it can't be done should not interrupt the woman doing it", photography, old artwork, "anti-school, pro learning" (made it myself!), a colorful world map, a calendar, and more. There's also some sports pennants from my athletic days when I was in elementary school.

Floor: White carpet covered in little glue dots from art projects.

Bed: Bunk bed. The top bunk has a summery, blue-green-yellow blanket with all my stuffed animals. The bottom is unmade, and my tie-dye and other pillows are strewn everywhere

Dressertop: Lamp with fabric shade, jewelry box, thumb tacks, license plate photo collage my friend made me, box of receipts (I'm going for a word record), vase of paper roses, Reflections trophy, and wooden marble pinball game.

Shelves: One by my bed, filled with sketchbooks, poetry books, and my beloved copies of "Watcha Mean, What's A Zine?", "DIY Kids", and "Get Real". The other one has a big mix of YA books and classics. There are also shelves above my desk with my snowglobe collection, dictionaries, and little statues.

Other: I have a computer desk, which I love. I'm typing on it right now. There's also my art corner, where I have mastercopies of all my zines and other peoples', as well as drawers of art supplies and found items.

My Favorite Part of My Room:

Reading corner! It's this little nook formed by my dresser and bookshelf of novels. There's three tubs of books, two cozy blue chairs, and blue and green lanterns strung across, plus my chalkboard shaped like a lightbulb (that actually lights up!).

As you can probably tell, I spend all my time in my room. I have everything I want up there...
