Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I just had

I just had this thought a couple seconds ago.

Okay, so what if two of us CB'ers were going on a trip somewhere, and to do so we had to go on an airplane. What if we saw each other in the airport, or on the sidewalk somewhere, or what if our cars briefly passed each other on the highway?

Just think.

It wouldn't have to be a long look, just a short aknowledgment, a wondering at this stranger standing before us.

It makes me sad to think that we'd never recognize each other, when really we know quite a lot about each other from just being on this one online website.

(I don't know, that sounded a lot better in my head, but it could happen, right?)

I think I remember Nora telling us awhile back that Nora is her middle name. Why?

No, my first birthname is Nora. I go by my middle name, which I haven't revealed yet, in real life. =)

Oh. Interesting! How come you go by your middle name instead?

You know, I should probably clear this up on a whole new post. Which I'll do...eventually. Mwahaha.

As being the Tracker, I feel that it would cool if we had a signal, but we need one that won't be noticable unless you're looking for it.

So I say: throw out ideas! Lets put our minds to work.

Here's mine:We could show seven fingers, like have our hands down by our sides, (it's a hard thing to describe) but keep them relaxed so it doesn't look odd.

Yeah, I like the 'not as noticable' idea, because if you just go up to a random person and like do a weird handshake in front of them or something they're going to think you're creepy. ;)

Eh.. stupid Idea I had never mind, and thats a good idea Tracker except I usually have my arms crossed, but it still could work a blue bracelet and 7 fingers showing?

A blue bracelet will work, except for 2 reasons:

1. If you don't have one

2. Boys...

So maybe we shouldn't wear something for our signal. How about tapping our head three times with two fingers, then patting our palm to our cheek?

And does anyone live around Frisco TX, and go to the mall next to Ikea? Because my family goes there for Xmas shopping...

How about a bracelet with our CB name on it that we always wear? Like, just a rubber band that you write on with Sharpie or something? Then, whenever you meet someone new, you can just look at their hand and see if they have a bracelet.

I refuse to wear anything on my wrists, because I get really irritated, so...

Well, the thing about writing things on stuff is marker fades . I say we should have a gesture.

What if when we waved to someone, we kept two fingers close together and the rest spread apart? Or when we shake hands, we gently push our thumb into their hand?

I agree with Indigo that it should be a gesture, or maybe we could say something in a particular way.

What about tapping our leg five times in a casual way when we meet someone new?

@Nora the Singer

Good idea! I know some people might not like that, but I am going to string "Butterfly" in beads right now! So be looking at their wrist anytime you meet someone. I'll do it in big letters.
