Sports: I would

Sports: I would like to know about the athletic lives of all of you. If you are not an athlete that is okay too. Until a couple years ago I assumed I had no athletic ability, we play soccer and basketball in gym all the time and I am not coordinated enough for either. I discovered though that I am a good runner and good at running and endurance based sports. I am on my schools cross country running, nordic skiing and track team. So, I want to know what you guys participate in for sports and if you don't that is okay, maybe it's not for you or maybe you just haven't found your sport yet.

I am not good at sports. So far I have tried soccer and gymnastics. In gymnastcs, I swear they moved me down a level. In soccer, I was good at defense. But I was usually on offense, which I was horrible at because I can't run fast. I'm not too good a volleyball either. One time, I was in gym class and I hit the ball. It went so high, it broke a light, then it bounced back and knocked over the coach's coffee. Epic fail. I got a coffee ball! I wasn't too good at swimming. My favorite stroke? The doggie paddle. Yeah. I'm getting better at kickball, though. I've gotten home once or twice. In anything with a raquet, I will usually hit the ball or birdie backward. I guess I'm all right at croquet and frisbee. Anyway, this is me and sports.

Gordon says cubo. Is this a copy of LEGOs? Or Cuba? It's Cuba, Gordon, not Cubo. Or is this a bear? Wait, it is a bear? RUN!

Yeah, I hear with the volleyball thing. Do you like croquet or frisbee a lot? Because maybe one day you will be a professional croquet player or some kind of frisbee champion. Even if that doesn't happen at least you seem very well rounded athletically. Maybe you should try cross country, you don't need to be a fast runner, you just need to have endurance (and strong lungs). If you are good at throwing frisbee you could try throwing discus on a track team, or shotput, and if you are good at jumping you should also try track. Just a suggestion.

I was a Keeper on a Soccer team. Then I fell down a flight of stairs, and I'm still unable to play.

Aww, that's too bad, I hope you can return to it soon. (And is it bad that I got really excited because when I first saw the word Keeper I thought you meant you were on a Quidditch team?)

Oh, whoops! Yeah, I read a lot of Harry Potter. Keeper is the technical name for a Goalie. Sorry.

I like to consider myself athletic, but really, I'm not. If I run too much, or even jump rope for too long (actually, "too much" means about fifteen minutes), then I get a really bad cough and sometimes can hardly breathe. But I enjoy going out and playing baseball or soccer and things. In soccer, I like to play goalie, and I can play anywhere in softball and baseball (I played baseball from when I was about four years old 'till I was almost eleven, I think, I I still like it. Now, I'm in karate, which I love, and I just got my orange belt a few days ago! I really like sports of almost any kind; I'm not picky.

Volleyball and track , and if I had the opportunity to be on a swim team , I would .

I've always wanted to be in sports , but since I'm homeschooled , and live in a very small town I haven't been able to . So last year I joined the track team , and though my times were slow , I loved it . I also played volleyball last semester , and my team was horrible , but I do like the game .

I'm a sprinter in track , and I run the 100m and the 200m . This year however , I think I'm also going to run the 4x100 relay . If I do that one , I think I'm going to drop the 100.

In volleyball , I play setter , which means I get second hit .

Our first track meet is March 7th , and I'm so excited .

Gymnastics. And don't say it's not a sport. It is. And don't say it's an easy sport. It's not.

Sport, defiinitely! Easy... Definitely NOT! (Most of the time. Trampolines are really fun.)

I don't really consider myself athletic, though I have done a mixture of things. I used to play soccer when I was young, though not very steadily or competitively. I wasn't exceptionally good at it, but I did enjoy it. I was a gymnast when I was young, and while I enjoyed it, I'm not very flexible, so again, I wasn't exceptionally skilled. The one other "sport" I've done was I was on my local swim team for a brief time. I'm actually pretty good at swimming, and while I wasn't very fast, I did rank in different places at the one swim meet I went to.

I'm currently in dance, jazz, tap, and modern, and while some don't consider it a sport, I do. It's very rigorous, and my parents have noticed how I've lost weight in the last several months of doing it. Modern especially is fairly intensive, cause we're expected to become more lithe, better balanced, and we do a lot of running and jumping.

@ True: I'm the same way! It's one of the reasons I've never tried to run track or anything. Back when I went to school, my P.E. coach would always go milder on me in running events cause I would start coughing and wheezing.

That's cool and I do consider dance a sport, but about the coughing and wheezing have you looked into seeing if it is asthma?

I have, sort of. My doctors have been rather pathetic in properly diagnosing me in a lot of things, so I really don't know. Probably.

I'm okay at soccer, okay at basketball, I fail at swimming, dance, baseball. I can do volleyball (sort of). (I'm not really sure if I'm good at running in genreal though, because I only know my mile time and not the average.) Also, I can ice skate. Suprisingly well, for someone who's only done it a few times.
