Sports: I would

Sports: I would

Sports: I would like to know about the athletic lives of all of you. If you are not an athlete that is okay too. Until a couple years ago I assumed I had no athletic ability, we play soccer and basketball in gym all the time and I am not coordinated enough for either. I discovered though that I am a good runner and good at running and endurance based sports. I am on my schools cross country running, nordic skiing and track team. So, I want to know what you guys participate in for sports and if you don't that is okay, maybe it's not for you or maybe you just haven't found your sport yet.

I haven't played a "sport" since I played soccar when I was 6.  None of them sound particuarly fun to me, so I'm just not into it. If I did do a sport, maybe track and field, like the hurtles or sometihng.

I'm a ballet dancer. Well, I do ballet, jazz, and contemporary. I used to do tap, but quit recently so I could take more ballet. I dance 5 or 6 days a week, and while I don't consider dance a sport, I think it is just as difficult and athletic, if not far more so. Not only do you have to be strong, have endurence,  and coordination, but it has to look good too. That's why I consider it an art, not a sport. A dancer is an athlete and an artist.

I did competitive gymnastics, but it wasn't at all fun, so I quit. It was just so much more... work oriented then non-competition. It wasn't any harder, just the overall attitude of classes got very un-fun.

My (athletic) dream is to learn rhythmic gymnastics!

For fun, I can play most sports if I have the equipment, but I'm not very good at sports. I am good at wiffleball though. On warm nights, I'll go play wiffleball with my dad, which I really like. I've done a gymnastics class, but quite in the summer. Every summer I do swim team at the country club we are members at. I'm not that good. I usually get 11th place, or something like that. I've never gotten a first place, but my relay team placed second once. I'm okay at soccer, kickball, and pretty good at skiing and biking. I can not run more tha a mile but can probably bike a half-marathon. And, if yoga counts as a sport, then I'm really good at yoga.

I am a runner. I love running, and I will do just about anything to run. I can't wait until my high school lets us do track.

I did ballet for balance in running for about 2 years.  I did gymnastics for a year which I was really good at. I quit because I needed more running time. I still teach myself a little.

I am awful at volleyball. Awful.

Are you on a cross country running team?

No. My school is tiny so we only have a sort of track team. It's unofficial.
