What about Creationists vs. Evolutionists? It is interesting to see different points of view on this. Keep in mind: IT IS CALLED A DEBATE THREAD, NOT AN INSULT-PEOPLE'S-BELIEFS THREAD. THAT MEANS CIVIL DISCUSSION.
(August 16, 2015 - 6:45 pm)
And I yelled the part about civil discussion. Irony. But I guess I really wanted to make the point. Anyway, TOPPETH, FAIR THREAD!
Fruity says Awry. YES! Fruity, you finally got ahead in your English lessons!

There is an amazing thread in the back pages with a debate like this one from, oh, maybe four years ago. I read it; it got pretty heated. We might want to be a bit calmer.

l would do it if people kept cool head and the caps lock off. But only if.
(August 18, 2015 - 10:07 am)
Yes. I'm sorry about the caps lock there. This shouldn't end up an argument.
(August 18, 2015 - 8:23 pm)
I'll do it, but I don't want to debate about anything religious. I might accidently offend someone.
(August 18, 2015 - 8:50 am)
I would LOVE to do this debate. Basically: people don't mean to insult you. They are just trying to get their point across calmly. If you are insulted please speak up and say why.
I just have a lot of Creation proofs...
(August 18, 2015 - 11:31 am)
Er... That debate... Is it possible for someone, say--er-- me, believes that evolution could be possible, but... A creationist's view could also be possible at the same time?
That was always my point of view... Er.... Yeah.
(August 18, 2015 - 11:38 am)
I don't mean to be rude...
Have you ever dropped a thousand piece puzzle and had it land as a completed puzzle? A hundred piece? Twenty five piece? Ten peice? Two piece? No. Never. And since when has something blowing up created something? Dynamite destroys. I think, so would the Big Bang.
(August 18, 2015 - 4:14 pm)
Ah, but the Big Bang is not the theory that the universe was created in a "big bang." It states that the universe expanded from a very high density state.
(August 18, 2015 - 6:09 pm)
Yes. The Big Bang was not like this:
1. Void.
2. BOOOOM!
3. Universe.
The Big Band was like this:
1. Void with a tiny, atom-sized, super-dense sphere of matter.
2. Tiny sphere expands like crazy.
3. Universe.
4. Universe keeps expanding.
The Big Bang was not an explosion; it was a rapid expansion of the Universe.
Also, things are created from explosions all the time. A very wise man named Carl Sagan once said: "We're all made of star stuff." A supernova (the largest explosion in the universe!) shoots out atoms of many elements. And guess what gets made of the explosive elements? Planets. Nebulae. More stars. Anything and everything in the universe.
What else can happen due to a supernova? Why, a neutron star. A black hole. A star nursery.
Explosions do destroy. Explosions simultaneously create.
(August 18, 2015 - 8:32 pm)
I would like to join... However I also believe that both creation and evolution go together.
