Allergies & Digestive Problems

 

At Jenni's suggestion, this thread is about allergies and digestive problems. What are yours? I am allergic to strawberries, and I can't digest a lot of foods other kids like. I,e, ice cream, cookies, cake, etc. Yesterday in Hebrew School our class had a party (long story) and I forgot to bring something like raisins that I could eat, so it was hard for me. :( But that's okay. I've been on this diet since my sister (who has autism) was seven. Now she's almost fifteen, so we've been on it for about eight years. We get used to it. What about you?

I'm not really allergic to anything, except I get itchy eyes in the spring.
Ice Cream tastes like: creamy, sweat, cold, smooth, icy. If you've ever smelled it, that's the flavor.

Scrambled Eggs: Well, not my favorite but... tastes like it smells. It's something that doesn't taste as good without salt and pepper. The texture's kind of weird in your mouth. Sort of slippery.

I don't have any real dietary restrictions (except that when I eat some kinds of granola for breakfast I get a bellyache - no idea why), but my mom can't eat most kinds of processed foods, or cheese, or anything with MSG in it, or a lot of other stuff. And she's allergic to shellfish. So we eat pretty much the same stuff all the time - whole-grain pasta, brown rice (because she's big on healthy food, not because she can't eat the normal kind), beans, veggies, meat... I get tired of it, even though it's good food. And it really limits what kind of restaurant we can go to, also. So yeah, that's my complaint of the day.

I don't like cotton candy. I don't think I really have an allergy to it, but it makes me feel sick everytime I smell it. =/

Cotton candy reminds me of cob webs... I hate how it's super fluffy but melts in your mouth. And then it's PURE sugar! EEWWWW! But it's fun to make! :):):) My cousin had a cotton candy maker when she graduated, and I enjoyed making some, but eating it was a challenge... :):):):):):):):)

celery

some cereals.

but my mom is lactose intoleronte and she can't have anything dairy.

I'm don't really have any food allergies. Here is what I think that ice cream and scrambled eggs taste like-

Ice cream- sweet, COLD (BRAIN FREEZES!! AHHH!!!), creamy or sometimes icy, ummm.... depends on what brand or what flavor you get.

Scrambled eggs- ummm... eggy? I don't know! :):):):)
