(sorry, public schoolers!) What curriculums do you use??  For most everything, I use Sonlight (I'm on the year, ummm, I don't know what it's called....  The first book we read, though, was Mara, Daughter of the Nile) Curriculum.  For math, I use Math-U-See, and I'm on Algebra 1.  For grammar, I use Abeka, and I think I'm using book 7.  Maybe. :)  For science, I use Apologia (which has suddenly become fun, because my mom reads it out loud while I take notes, then we do the experiments, which is AMAZING, because my mom ruins just about every experiment she does. :):):) Hee hee....) and I'm on, ummmmmm....  I don't know which book... I'll tell you later! :) For Spanish, I use Rosetta Stone, and I'm still on Level 1, Unit 4... :):) I suppose I should work harder at that... :):):) And, ummmmmmmmmm....  What other subjects are there???? :):)

I use Math-U-See for math too! I'm on Zeta now. I really really really do not like math though. :( But, I just got my WRAT testing results and apparently I'm a whole grade advanced in math. I guess it shows that you can be good at stuff you don't like.

I'm mostly unschooled (I mean I mostly don't use a curriculum).  For languages I use Instant Immersion and for the rest my mom comes up with it herself.

Yah, I'm mostly unschooled too!  I mean, sometimes I use work books that we bought at a school supply store, and sometimes my mom finds stuff online, but mostly I just lean "life lessons" as she puts it.  :D

Oh, and I learn French from my Grandpa, though I don't think that's gonna last much longer, cause he is sort of giving up on me...   See, he is a retired collage professor, and so he doesn't have much experience teaching younger people.  *sigh*  Oh well...

J'ai sommeil!   I could NOT fall asleep last night!!  UGG!!!!!  I went to bed at midnight, and couldn't fall asleep until sometime around TWO!!!!!!!  The only reason I did fall asleep, was because I put my head on my window sill.  For some reason, I always fall asleep when I do that.  Too bad I didn't think of it earlier!!!!

I think I was nervous.  Cause today my cousins are going to pick me up and take me to a beach house in Bodega Bay.  I've done it before, last summer... but that was only one night.  I've never spent two nights away from home without my parents.  :)

So, in case you are are wondering, I probably won't be on here for a few days!  :)

Oh, and I take singing lessons.

I'm enrolled in a Catholic program called Seton Home Study. I do Saxon math, though. I have to take tests for every subject every quarter. Except for art, music and Phys. Ed. I do English, Math, History, Spelling, Vocabulary, Reading, Religion, Art, Music, Phys. Ed, and (ugh) Science. painful, painful, painful. But the Seton homeschoolers on their website are super nice, like you guys.

Yeah, I do book 8/7, too, and I'm on lesson 87. My mom first got me book 7/6, realized it was too easy, and got my 8/7. I'm actually supposed to be on 9/8, but that would mean my mom would have to exchange it for a second time. Oh, I did Voyages in English in 6th grade! And I also do Wordly Wise. What grade are you in, 6th or 7th?

I know, being homeschooled is AWESOME!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D You don't have to worry about wearing the "cool" clothes or stuff like that. You can just be yourself! Plus you get to spend more time with your family! :):):)

Yeah!:) It's so awesome!!!!!:D:D:D And, you can take more field trips, and read more books, and do more projects, beacause you're at home, you have all the time you want, and don't have to rush to a class at a certain time!!!!!:):):) I love it!!!!:):):)

I'm using Math-U-See, too!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm on Epsilon (fractions).  I'm working on unit 17.  I use Rosseta Stone, too!!!  I'm also on level one and I don't know what unit.  I do science experiments and stuff.  We get books from the library for history and other animal science things.  For English, we do stuff like fixing mistakes in stories that I write.  It sounds like I do this stuff a lot but I don't do it that much. I was just tring to name things that I do.

I have a question for homeschoolers: Do any of you do mental math?  Or do you memorize the multiplication tables, like in school?  I do mental math because my mom thinks it's a good skill to have.

Math-U-See incorporates some mental math. I know most of my multiplication tables up to 10 except 7, 8, and 9. Oh, and maybe six. Okay, I don't know my multiplication tables. :)
