How many of you guys play piano? How many do the National Piano Evaluations thingy where someone goes to your piano school and you play something for them? And, which level? I'm Intermediate Section C.
Also, what piece(s) are you guys currently playing?

Love piano. I'm working on a song to play with my church's musicians. I'm working on a sonata by...someone, let me check...anyway, it's fun. What kind of music do you like playing?

Yes, Admin, that is what I meant. I didn't have my book in front of me so I didn't know how to spell it. Thank you :)

Yes, also, it is Austrian. I skimmed over its history in my lesson book and it was teaching me something Italian, so I made a hasty generalization (something that, accorrding to my Logic textbook, I'm not supposed to do).

l've been playing piano for almost three years now.

l'm depressingly bad at reading music, to the point in which l read Bass Clef as Treble Clef and Treble Clef as Bass Clef.

So my family was having a random discussion about religion over dinner and we were trying to find polytheism in monotheism and my dad said, ".....The Catholics have Saints......" and I started singing, "When the Saints Go Marching In" and he said to go play that on piano. So after dinner, I went and played it. But one key wasn't enough and I ended up playing it in the following keys:

C Major

C minor

F Major

D# Major

D# minor

The minor keys were really cool but eventually the song got annoying and I played Prelude to the Dance instead.

Right now, I'm playing a sonatina by Kuhlau! It's Op. 20 No. 1. Look it up! I love it!

Also look up, "The White-Haired Girl". It's a BEAUTIFUL Chinese piece that I can play!

@Mei-

I looked up The White-Haired Girl, it is so pretty! Now I'm trying to play it on the piano.

Not to shoot you down, but that is a REALLY hard piece. It'll take you a really long time to play it correctly, and then you need the pedal and the feeling…

Greetings, fellow musicians! :D

I'm currently playing "All of Me" by John Schmidt.  It's late intermediate-early difficult level, and it involves arm-smashes (part of the reason for the title of the piece ;) ). I'd highly recommend the video in which Jon Schmidt performs it himself-- very enjoyable. In fact, I'd recommend most things done by the Piano Guys (The musical duo Schmidt is a part of), or what I've seen from them, anyway :)

Piano guys are boss! I play piano, but I haven't in a long, long time. Long story.

I used to play piano. I started when I was six, and everyone said that I had an amazing talent. But then all of a sudden people started saying that I wasn't practicing enough and I wasn't taking my talent for piano seriously and that I was wasting it. But I hadn't made any difference in my practice schedule! Finally, after years of being mocked and made fun of, I quit. I was tired of being told to work hard at something that I only did for fun just because I had a talent. It takes all the fun out of doing what you love. They kept embarrassing me in public and they still do today, but at least now they're saying the truth. It's been nearly 3 years since I gave up playing piano. Sometimes I miss it, but mostly I'm glad that I don't have to worry about living up to people's expectations anymore. It's a weight off my shoulders. And anyway, piano isn't exactly my talent because whenever I do something new I discover that I'm naturally gifted at it. Basically, my talent is having talent. Not to brag, but that's just what it is. When I started flute a few years ago, everyone said I had a specail talent. When I started writing essays, everyone said I had a special talent.  When I reenacted a random scene from a musical a few weeks ago, EVERYONE SAID I HAD A SPECIAL TALENT. I also sing, compose music, cook, writing books, am a math whiz (I could beat my older brother at algebra when I was 6), persuade people, etc.etc.
