The swine flu... yes, I think that it's great to be sanitary, but don't get so freaked out about it! Even if you get it, if you have a pretty healthy immune system, you probably won't die from it. Yes, there are some people who died from it in Mexico, but what people don't realize is that people in Mexico die from the normal flu. So..... wash your hands, but don't be so freaked out! :)

Swine flu is actually from 2 pig flu viruses that morphed with a human virus, when a human passed the flu to a pig and it morphed...I think that is what I read in the newspaper...

People EVERYWHERE die from the regular flu. It's been speculated that there'll be more damage from the panic than the disease, actually.

Exactly. Did you know that the symptoms of the swine flu are virtually the same as the symptoms of the regular flu?

Me too. I know I'm supposed to be supportive and tell you everything will be okay, which is true, but I'm freaked out myself.

Yes, do wash your hands and take necessary precautions, but, like Julia said, don't get so freaked out. They're saying now that the swine flu is like the normal flu, just people have made it out to be something much worse. People have died from it, yes, but that's mainly because they didn't see a doctor in time, or because there immune system was weak. So, wash your hands, pay attention to any symptoms, stay calm, and think of this as an out-of-control case of the flu (which, actually, is pretty much what it is).

I wouldn't freak out either- I mean, people are sort of overreacting over it, you know? There's no need to wear an operating mask everywhere you go, but all these higher-up people get on TV and cause a panic (i.e. certain VP who tells everyone not to use the airlines or the subways- way to calm everyone down). Only what, three U.S. citizens have died from it? It's basically just a regular flu that everyone's blowing out of proportion, not an epidemic of the Black Plague or anything.

So just relax.

I know wut u mean about freaking out with the masks. I went  to a concert in Alabama and a lot of ppl had masks on there . It kinda freaked me out. (And it didn't help that we went under a tornado warning and got rushed away.)
