Hey, all of our teachers during school say stay away from the T zone (eyes nose and mouth), but they also tell us to wash our hands. But they told us that the swine flu is not much worse than the real flu; as long as you keep your hands washed and out of your face u should b ok. (Although I am getting a little bit worried since there has been 5 confirmed cases in MS and a few in Alabama!)

The swine flu basically IS the regular flu, just porcine and blown out of proportion.

I know !! I'm freaked out, too!!!There are cases in Norfolk, about an hour away. Oh,BTW it's called H1N1 because people won't buy pork products now. I think it's unfair that they changed it for this but not when there was Mad Cow Disease. (I live on a feedlot)That's not the real name,BTW, it's just a name the media called it because they didn't know the real name. The real name is really long.

Guess what, guys? I have swine flu. It is not deadly unless you have an underlying sickness. In fact, it is milder then a normal flu, but is not covered in the vaccination.

Everybody, wake up! People are acting like it's the boogeyman. Actually, at this moment most people who have a flu actually have H1N1. Really. The labs are only accepting official tests for people who are hospitalized, because otherwise the labs would be swamped.

Honestly, I don't feel well, but just as cruddy as I would with any other flu, which I get a lot. So, everybody, chill! My doctor doesn't even have me on medication, because it will be better for my body, and I'll have a bigger immunity to it in the fall when everybody else gets it.

So just stop freaking out!

Okay.  You convinced me.  But why have so many people died in Mexico?  It's weird . . .

I'm not positive, but probably because of underlying health issues. More people aren't dying from this then from an average flu, but, as I said, people are treating it like the boogyman. Also, if anyone has a flu right now, and was vaccined, they have H1N1.

Thx, Adina. But did you even read my post? I'M NOT GOING TO DIE!!! The numbers are wildly disproportionate. Trust me, I've been sicker then this. It is MILDER then a normal flu. Relax, people, relax!

I have flu now, and was vaccinated. By poetonearth13's rule, that means I have H1N1! *worries* It's really mild, just a cough and a fever *coughs*.

Poet isn't going to die. That's the point that he's trying to make (you are a guy, right, Poet? Sorry... embarrassing questions...).

Anyway, all the deaths in Mexico are probably because they have other health issues down there. I think I've got that right...

I'm a girl. . .

Anyway, no more people died in Mexico of H1N1 then of other flues. Thanks, Mary, for helping me make my not dying point. . .

That's actually pretty inspiring. But what do you mean, 'when everyone else gets it'? What's that about?

@ Lena

I dunno. That's just what my doctor said. I assume that it will become a more common sickness. Both him and my mom were talking about it. I'm not positive. Let me ask.
