Chatterbox: Down to Earth

WORLD DOMINATION

WORLD DOMINATION THREAD

It's baaacckkk! Some of you might have heard about World Domination threads, which has been going on for years. Here is one that went on during 2013: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/downtoearth/node/115071

So who wants to take over this world? BHR said in 2013 that by 2033 (20 years later) CBers would rule the world. Let's continue on that dream! I will have one side, and I need a volunteer for the other side. Whoever wants the role and says so will get it, so first come first serve.

First step after getting our second leader: Recruit team members.

Second step: WORLD DOMINATION

Let's begin, and become the most powerful nation in the world!

Hiya guys! General Ashlee, we need to show you-

It's AMAZING!

We found a gryphon!

She was just sitting around in the forest surrounding the CB, and well... Basil can tell you more.

She's a female, a panther-eagle hybrid instead of the usual lion-eagle. Looks like someone's long-forgotten charrie, maybe. She's only slightly smaller than wyvern.

We've bound her with bronze rope so that she would come with us. We're thinking maybe we could put a saddle on her...

When we do, I got dibs!

It seems you're forgetting who found her.

Who's the CBer here?

Guys, here is what I believe should be our first move: Switzerland. As of 2015, they had the world's best economy. Also, one of their cities, Zurich, ranked #9 globally for industrial works. They shouldn't be too hard to dominate for their military is #37 in the world, and they are a fairly small country.

Does that sound good?

(Also, Team Fandom and neutrals cannot see this post without spies/double agents)

@General Ashlee,

Ok, that sounds good to me

Your faithful Lieutenant,

P.S.: You can find ANYTHING online. Did you know that there was a PDF instruction manual of how to take over Switzerland?!? That's just creepy...

@Lt. elementgirl,

We need to discuss with our troops who shall be doing what on our first move to take over Switzerland. Unfortunatly, we lack the skills of both Mirax (who can shrink, if I remember) and Icy (magic), so stealth might not be the key. Although, if we time it right, we have Zeon who can transform into a bug at random.

Maybe strength? We do have the biggest army at the moment, and we could possibly sway the neutrals/rogues to aid us. It's up to you guys on presenting ideas, those are just a thought.

And a PDF on taking over Switzerland...? That's a bit insane, kinda creepy. Hopefully that got removed from the internet, even if it was just a joke by the person who created it.

MY VERY OP FORCES

My menagerie of miscellaneous animals has decided to devote its forces to this endeavor. Its occupants have pledged to serve my cause. Together we will dominate!Among my menagerie dwell the following animals.

-A herd of two hundred and five unicorns

-Thirty-four gryphons

-Seven hippogriffs

-Ninety-three dragons of assorted species

-One hundred thirteen dire wolves

-Five hundred thirty-four winged lions

-Eighty-two pegasi

There are more, but I have to go!

@Rogue Scylla

I propose that we wait and see how the battle starts to take shape. Then our party may either assist one force, oppose another, or try to make compromises or peace. We can be a force of good or evil, but we will inevitably be a force of change (that applies for real life as well, peoples).

General Ashlee, I thank you for the invitation, but I will not be joining you.

We will assist ourselves. We stand apart.

Gared, I am unsure if you have posted already suggesting a country to invade, but I would recommend Japan. They are isolated enough to serve as a semi-private base of operations, but close enough to the mainland that they are not in any way isolated from other countries. Tokyo is the most populous city in the world, meaning there might be a good deal of resistance at first, but I believe with our superior army and strong moral values we can subdue any potential uprisings and use Japan as our headquarters for further invasions of Asia - starting small with places such as Mongolia or Tibet but eventually growing our territory all the way throughout India, China, and maybe even part of Rosja. As I am only second in command, it is up to you to make the final decision, but this would be my suggestion.

Good idea. Also, we need somebody to research the popular fandoms there.

@General Ashlee,

I just looked up 'what is the hardest country in the world to invade' and it said Switzerland in 2nd, because it was surrounded by the mountains, and it has the 'National Redoubt' defensive plan to take advantage of the Mountains. Did you know that they are wired to BLOW UP if someone tries to invade?!? I'm not trying to convince you anything, just FYI...

@Lt. elementgirl

You prove a wonderful point that could have just saved our army numerous deaths and an automatic loss. What if... IF we choose to still do Switzerland, we fly? As I stated, we have a private jet, and one of our people has a griffin, I believe. My jet holds the pilot and three others, the griffin might hold two... I hope. And we can use our gold stock to buy a med-sized private jet, which will hold another 9 people.

Total that would be 13 seats in jets, and a possible two for griffin, leaving plenty of extra room for our supplies. Our current army size is app. 12 people. We can land in Schmerikon, a smaller town (real, too!) right on a river that goes straight into Zurich. No one will notice outside of the town, because larger towns are somewhat far off. A bit of travel by boat (we can buy those when we get there), and we would arrive in maybe a day's time.

Then invade.

Will that work? We would avoid the mountains completely by both air and water. Oh, and the capital is Bern, 70 miles south of Zurich. We can cover that in probably 2 days. Will this plan work, or do you have another?

We might be a new army, but this won't stop us, let's just avoid the mountains at ALL costs.

I'm sure we can outfit her (the gryphon) to hold at least three, and one of my AEs has wings and a crossbow...

Fwum says kiva. Huh, I know a cat named Kiva...

Keep in mind that invading might destroy the economy.

Maybe we should all go to Switzerland preteding to be traveling. Then once everyone's there and we have supplies, we can take over.

Also, do you want me to be a spy?

submitted by Impunity Jane, Capere Army
(January 17, 2017 - 10:23 am)

@Impuunity Jane

I took that into consideration and notified elemntgirl. But did you know, war actually (usually) helps an economy? If you see what I just told our Lt. elementgirl, we will try to use persuasion not force.

But going in as travelers could work. The only issue is our supplies. They will realize the private jets (and griffon) and be fearful. It's an idea, though.

And yes, we could use you as a spy. The best way to do it is deny you are a part of our army by publicly stating (without the "Capere Army" in location box) that our army is at fault, and ask to join the Fandom Army. If they accept you, we can report back and forth. Sounds good?

@General Ashlee,

All right. That sounds good.

But how? How are we going to do it? I mean, the actual taking over part. Will it involve physical combat, or not?

Sorry if that's way too many questions. :P
