Homeschoolers, Unite!!!!! Hey,

Homeschoolers, Unite!!!!! Hey, I just want to know how many homeschoolers are out there! I am a very special breed of homeschooler called an unschooler. That means I get to learn what I want when I want how I want. IT IS PURE FREEDOM!! Anyone alse out there like me?

Yay, go homeschoolers! But I have a question: what's the difference between homeschooling and unschooling? I'm not sure what I am. All I know is that I don't go to school, and I love the way I learn! :)

Unschooling is a type of homeschooling. There is also homeschooling where it is basically like school at home except a more flexible schedule. In unschooling you pick what you are interested in and learn about it and your parents could just help you along the way. (My biggest  help is the good ol' internet.) There are also people who homeschool for religious reasons. Does that help?

I guess I'd be somewhere in the middle then. I get to pick what I want to learn about, but I do some stuff on my own and some stuff with my parents. I don't homeschool for religious reasons. So... maybe I'm unschooled. Maybe not. I like the way I learn no matter what it's called; I was just curious.

I'm homeschooled, but not unschooled. I've been homeschooling for three years now.

I'm and unschooler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It's so cool to meet you!!!!!!!!  Isn't it wonderful?  When people ask my mom what we learn, she says "life skills".

I'm a really good reader, I read really fast, but I don't think I'd ever have time to read like I do now if I were in regular school.  I used to go to public school.  I miss it a lot sometimes, because when I left it, all my friends dumped me, but I feel so free now.  Whenever we want, my mom drives us to parks, and we go for walks, and take pictures and just have fun.  :)
