Chatterbox: Down to Earth

CALLING ALL

CALLING ALL CHATTERBOXERS

Lately it seems there have been a lot of heated debates posts and anti-heated debates posts. This has lead to lots of arguments (on both types of threads) and a lot of comments wasted trying to calm people down. It is my personal opinion that we should come up with a universal Chatterbox symbol that means calm down. Like for instance, if I ranted at someone for several paragraphs, you guys would do (symbol here): Allison..... or something along those lines. This way we can peacefully tone down a certain argument or something without ranting about someone's rant. Am I making sense to anyone but myself? Sorry if I'm not, I do that sometimes. But I think this idea could save a whole lot of trouble on everyone's part. Agree? No? Maybe? What does everybuggy think? (And if you have suggestions for a symbol, that would be lovely, too; just make sure it's something all computers can do.)

I really like */*. Kind of a smiley, but not.

I'll go try to advertise on warriors. :)

I have arrived. Here's the symbol: ~_~ You hold shift on the key just southwest of escape. And then the visible space symbol is typed by holding down shift and pressing the dash key.

I know! ~_. Everyone's computers can do it, and the ~ means calm and the _means down.  ~_

Come on you guys!  This is getting complicated.  Why do we need all this SHIFT-ALT-CONTROL stuff?!?!?!  Why don't we just use */* it's not complicated and everyone can do it.  LOL:)

Okay, FINAL DECISION: */* is for smaller or beginning arguments, and i~! is for already heated ones. Please try to let all Chatterboxers know this!
