CBversery Dates

CBversery Dates

I was reading through a thread a long time ago that I made pranking myself. Uhh, and I've been part of the CB since July 2010! I have yet to find my first post (I cannot find anything from back then) so I don't know the exact day. Here I was, thinking I've been on since 2012. Nope, 2010 is the year.

So when did you guys join the CB? Has anyone been on since 2010?

@Admin, I know you run across a ton of people on the CB, but do you remember me back from way back when?

Well, there are so many of you (plus some with multiple names!), I can honestly say that I remember names from way back, but I don't remember many identifying details that go with each name for a long time. I prefer to think of you all as a wonderful group of people!

I have a question about CBverserys. Does Kyngdom count for CBverserys? Because I posted in Kyngdom before I posted on the CB proper. Once I learn that I'll post my CBversery.

Thank you!

Genn says wbax. Are you saying way back? Yeah, Ashlee has been on here since way back.

I consider Kyngdom a part of Chatterbox, so I'd say yes, it counts.

That's cool! So what is Kyngdom exactly? I clicked on it once, but I was so confused as to what it all was.

Wow, it seems complicated and fun! I don't receive any Cricket magazines anymore, so I don't know if I'd be a huge help for your story. Kyngdom does seem an awesome like idea though!

Thanks, Admin! I've got say, seeing us all as a large group of people is quite good. I mean, as individuals we create something like a large family. Families stick together and don't exclude one another. But I have to say, I remember some CBers in particular back then.

Oh, and to everyone, here is something about my story:

I was nine or ten years old, homeschooled, sitting at home one evening. It was July, early in the month if I do remember correctly, and my mom was searching for things online. I believe she was intending to find a place for me to socialize, improve in my writing, and share my work. That is when she ran across this little nook in the wide internet called the "Chatterbox". And I was like, "Seems awesome! But..." because I was a bit nervous. It seemed amazing, with a lively group of people, amazing games, and stories. At the time, I believe my mom mainly wanted me on Inkwell. She wanted the CB to be a place to count toward my English. It was just around this time I had learned to read, so this was all new to me.

I don't remember much after this. I know I soon came to love the Cricket, although I must say, the "family" back then was so much different than the "family" we have here today. I am not saying it is good or bad, just different. The things we used the CB for back way when was so different than it is today. Some of you older ones might remember what I'm talking about. HypeQuests, random discussions, things and such. Aww... that was a long time ago. xD

I suppose I started bouncing off and on for long periods of time. I was inactive for a few months to a year at one point, and it was not until 2012 that I returned once again. This was during the second, and most successful, World Domination thread that BHR and the others were a part of. I believe I never took part in this, but I loved reading it! I also created PandaQuests inspired by Joe's HypeQuests. My name was "Pandagirl" back then.

Unfortunately, I faded off again. I don't know if it is because my mom didn't want me on as much, or I got bored. I wouldn't think so! 2012 was a vital year of the CB for me, I was really great friends with Joe the Stickfiddler and the others. I was also just starting to get to know BHR and some of them. It was like a new rebirth of the CB since my 2010 visit. But I did fade, somehow, and this time lasted for another year? Two years?

At last, I came back for a long period of time. I would visit occasionally before, but this was forever. It was during a nasty war on the CB, a war that hurt many of us, and it is something I will never try to think about again.

Some of you might know this as the Diversity War.

With time comes change. Once this war was over... the damage settled on once again, and the family reunited with new members - although I will never stop missing my old family too - I became a big part of the CB. People started calling me the big sister, something I am proud to be. It's led me to great things, I've met you all wonderful people, and we've helped lift each other up. I have had some hard things in my life socially, school, etc. You guys have been there. In the old CB back in 2010? Not that we weren't close-knit, but I had just not become part of that family fully. And I don't think our real life issues is something we would talk about. It just wasn't... a thing back then. Not on the CB, not until years later.

So that's my story. Now here I stand, battle scars of years, beautiful fresh and old memories of friendships and stories, and a huge smile on my face. I have improved so much because of you guys, and of course, none of it would be possible without the Admins. Thank you all, every single one of you, for being here! I really look forward to hearing your stories.

I remember Pandagirl, but I didn't know that was you, Ashlee! Can you see why it's so hard for we Admins to remember everyone!

Wow, I cannot imagine trying to remember us all! Yep, my name was Pandagirl from... 2010-2012? 2013? I don't remember exactly. For a short period of time, I used both Ashlee G. and Pandagirl, kind of like two separate AEs of my personality.

That's great, Embers! 2015 was my kind of... return date? Never mind, that was 2016. But still, we are glad to have you here!

That's great that you've been here so long, Ashlee! I've only been here 2 years. This December will mark my 3rd year.

I know! I was shocked to count up the years and be like 'Uhh... Wow, it's been a long time." I think 2 years is really long, too! You have really made a huge impact on the CB, we all love having you here.

I think when I was younger I kind of tried out the CB, but I didn't really know what it was or how to navigate it...and I just wasn't quite old enough for it. @Ashlee, I remember Joe the Stickfiddler. My first post on the CB was replying to something he said.

I don't really count the first time I went on the CB as my CBversary, though, because I didn't really care about it at the time and I would only post once or twice on the weekends, if I was bored.

I don't know the exact date that I fully came on the CB to stay...last year I celebrated my first CBversary in November, but I think it's closer to December so I'm marking December 1st as my official CBversary, and this year I'll be celebrating two years of wonderful CBing.

Wow, we would have joined around the same time, then! I think one of my first posts was to Joe's HypeQuest I think. Although, like you, I don't really count July 2010 as my first joining time, because I don't think I was on that much. It was not until 2012 did I start making threads and posting more consistently. Then I left, and returned 2014? Then left and returned again for good 2015 or 2016. So off and on. That's why you probably will never see me make a CBversery thread for my time here because it has been so inconsistent. Maybe this summer I will, in July? Who knows...

I never knew you've been on for this long! I mean, even with your official CBversery, 2 years is quite a long time. With all my time added together, maybe 2 or 3 for me at the moment. Maybe 4. But no, I always thought you were quite new to the CB, ahh, how I was mistaken!

September 2nd of this year will mark my two-year anniversary! I can understand how it'd be hard for the Admins for remember everyone... there sure are a lot of us. :P

Wow, I always thought you've been here a lot longer than that! You are one of the people I look up to, so I figured you've been here 3 or 4 years.

Wow, I was flipping through more threads when I ran across your first one. You have changed so much over your time here! Here's the link: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/downtoearth/node/199584 and that's just... wow, mind blown. :D

So I am using this to also share some unique threads relating to current CBers in the past, including myself. This one was for a "virtual world' I created, inspired by a "paint" image on my computer. I still have that house on my PC xD

Here's the link: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/downtoearth/node/121432 the sad thing is, no one ever participated.
