It's SUMMER!

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

It's SUMMER!

It's SUMMER!

Okay, yesterday the temparatures in Portland (Maine, the Portland with a port) shot up.

Way up.

At one point, the thermostat said 95 degrees. And it was sunny, hardly any clouds!

It was sooo hot...it gave me a headache, but then I got to play in a friend's sprinkler so it wasn't that bad.

And today, it's in the high 70's and middle-ish 80's! What's the weather like where you are? I'm just curious to see what other people are experiencing.

The weather here really can't decide. We get a few days of cold and rain, and then it gets really hot. Sometimes in the same day- it'll be really nice out and then it will start pouring.

If you're wondering, I live in the same state as one other person who posted here, and I am on Pacific time (figure out the clues yourself).

Here in Colorado we just had a big surprise snowstorm. All of the leaves on the trees were out, and so the snow weighed down the trees, and many lost a lot of their biggest branches. Some trees even split in half because of the weight. It made me sad to see all of those green leafy branches lying on the ground in piles. Finally the snow melted, though, and then it started to rain. ::sigh::. I just want it to be summer, and not winter anymore. Today it looks better. The sun is out again, and I think it's about 60 degrees.

Here in Pennsylvania, it's about 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. It's warm enough you don't need a jacket anymore, but it's not super hot either. :P
