You know that sounds kind of rude. If she's new, don't make her feel unwelcome.

ACK!!!! I'm SOOOO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate having a mean picture of myself, I swear, when I wrote it, I absolutely had no unkindness in mind!! Sometimes I forget to think before I act, and when I am truly not trying to hurt someone, I do. I'm EXTREMELY sorry Mathilda!! I hope you aren't upset, I swear that wasn't not my intension at all. Gah!! Now I feel like this horrible person. I hate it when I slip up. It's so hard to keep friends anyway! :( :( :( :( :( :(

Please please please ignore it!!!!!! I hate myself for saying that. I wish I could go back in time and delete it!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must think I'm this horridly mean person now.

Great first impression, Laura. Nice going.

PLEASE accept my apology!!!!!!!!! And to anyone else, I'm so sorry if you thought I was mean!!! Please forget this!!!!!!!

Wow, Laura. It's okay. I don't think you are a mean person, but belive me, i think I am sane. I don't really think Edward is hot, and I don't want to "fit in" I just think he is a very cool and interseting character. In Harry Potter my favorite character is Lord Voldemort. "There is no good or evil. There is only power and those do weak to seek it!" Weird, isn't he????

Thank you.  I still feel awful, but it's a little less.  *weak smile*

So, can I say let's put all my stupidity behind us and shake hands?

Yes, I think it's sad that we go this far sometimes, especially when the people are new. If she likes Twilight then that's fine. If you don't like it, then you shouldn't have come on here and turned it into a debate, in my opinion. Anyway, I'm sorry about this, Mathilda. Welcome! :D

Mathilda, if you're still here, I apologize for everyone who was rude. It was uncalled for and we aren't usually like this... Twilight, for some reason, is an unusually tetchy subject 'round these parts. Welcome, sorry for the terrible reception, we (or I, at least) hope you stick around.

For the record? I did like the movie, but for all the "wrong" reasons- the narm, the cheese, the poor special effects and the diseased look the blue filter gave everyone and everything... Smeyer's cameo, the sparkle scene... Oh, and the huge amount of brilliant parodies on YouTube ("what he's comin after me now?" "No. He WANTS MY CANDY BAR!" and "I'll do anything it takes to make you safe again [hands ax]" to name one in particular)... But I can't stand the books, mainly because, well, to quote everyone's favourite cecaelia... "There's only one thing more powerful than my Black magic! The power of TRUE LOVE! [after an "I mean" pause] ...teenage hormones!"

Stephenie Meyer had a cameo? Who was she?

She was sitting at the counter, typing on a laptop, and she was served pie of some kind. It was the worst cameo I've ever seen- as you may know she tends to the plump side (which suits her, I think, she used to be much thinner and she looked really awkward and angly...), but the camera angle made her look, uh, bloated, and what with the fluorescent lighting and blue filter she looked like something that had just crawled up from a lake or something. It was very unflattering and exactly what a cameo isn't supposed to be.

Hmmm.  TNO, I find it odd that you claim to hate Twilight so much, and yet you have read all the books plus the movie plus checked it out on YouTube AND visited 'Smeyer's site.  Interesting.  *grins*

I hate the plot/characters/sparkles; I do, however, love the incredible lulz it affords and I make no secret about that. Also, I did like them the first time I read them, it was only after I tried to reread the series that I went, "lulwhut?". The parodies, well, watch one. Some of them are to die for. Also also, where did I say I visited her site? You haz confused me. :\
