I only scarcely enjoyed the first book. After that, it got a bit too repetitive, and led to the last book being completely predictable. The movie did the books no justice, either.

Plus, my irked attitude about the author disguising the story and being lazy with her purple prose halfway through.

All in all, a good idea (I do enjoy my vampires), but a bad way to convey it. A few more off-romantic plot twists would have been appreciated. But this may just be my cynically critical view.
