Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's snowing right now at my house. It flutters down like, well, snow. Just wondering if you guys have snow too where you live? Maybe you've had a snow day already? Just putting it out there.

~Jwyn

It's snowed a couple times this week here in Chicago, and things are looking quite festive outside of the Cricket offices! Enjoy the snow, Jwyn!

Yes! It's snowing outside my house right now, too! It's actually up to my knees outside already, but there is more to come! It's also very cold, like in the single digits. One of the downfalls of being homeschooled, I don't get snow days, but who cares?! I've already made a snow tunnel in our driveway, and we have a mini hill that we all love to go slidding on! Too bad it's getting dark so early, though, at around 3:45 ish at my house. I love how after a snowstorm, every little tree branch, every little feather of a pine tree is covered in a pure white blanket. It looks so, so.....magical!

Well, if it's so cold, Vyolette, the snow will still be there tomorrow. Here in central Illinois, it's very cold . . . but no snow!

It's true that snow days are one of the few cons of homeschooling! I had to take my precalculus midterm instead of getting an early dismissal like my friends. Sigh. But it also means that we don't have to make up extra days in June! (that's what the public schools in my area do, anyway!) It's the weekend now, anyway. Phew!

It snowed at my house last weekend, and a little bit today. I love the snow so much!

Aw, I envy you guys! No snow in South Florida, although it did snow in North Florida a couple days ago. Fun fact: I’ve never seen snow before!

Snow...

I am very sad these days because I live in upstate NY and there is very little snow. There is maybe an inch out there and it's already mid - December. I keep hoping for more, though! Even though there isn't much snow, it's still freezing cold, about 15 degrees right now!

That sounds like so much fun! In IL it's cold, but there's no snow. I find that kind of annohing. I don't mind the cold too much, but my personal opinoin is that if it's cold, it might as well be snowing.

Exactly!!! If it's going to be cold and our noses are going to freeze ff, we should have some snow to make it enjoyable.

That's what I  say. If it's going to be cold, there should be snow!

It has started to snow here! Last year our school chorus concert was cancelled due to snow, and this year on the day of the concert is when the snow started! Everyone thought it would be cancelled again, but luckily it wasn’t and now we have plenty of snow— yesterday we had a two hour delay at school for the snow. I really it’s still snowing around Christmas, as my Californian cousins visit every year and look forward to the snow. Unfortunately, many years it has snowed in November and the beginning of December, as well as January and February, but it stops for Christmas a lot.

Anyways, glad to see you all doing well, time to disappear into the mist again.

*disappers into the mist*

Nice to see you again, Savvy!

There's no snow down here in Kansas. But we've always had weird weather. Like yesterday everyone was wearing shorts because it was 60 degrees, and now it's around 30. It's what comes with living smack-dab in the middle of the US. *sigh*

I know!! Here in Pennsylvania it's snowed twice in the past week. It's been the perfect kind of snow-- not very heavy or deep so it's easy to shovel, but it makes everything, especially the farmland, look so pretty!

It hasn't been particularly cold, so the first snowfall melted away within a day or two, which is also a good thing. But now that we've had some snow I'm about ready for spring!

Here in RI, it has snowed twice, but the first snowfall melted. Right now there are 3-4 inches outside, I'm guessing. This is unusual- we usually have really cold, snowy Novembers and warm Decembers!

We have weird weather in NY sometimes too. I remember last year we got light snowfall, then melt, then light snowfall, then melt, then light snowfall, then melt,...... Then HEAVY snowfall, TWO FEET DEEP, for like a week.

Conclusion: Central NY is weird (we already knew that)

TWO FEET OF SNOW???!! 0_0 Wow. In middle TN, we only get two inches or so if we're lucky. It's not even all that cold right now! Someone was talking about making a snow tunnel... I've always wanted to make one. The best snow we ever got was two years ago when it snowed six inches.  The last time before that that it snowed that much was 2003. When I wasn't born yet.
