Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's snowing right now at my house. It flutters down like, well, snow. Just wondering if you guys have snow too where you live? Maybe you've had a snow day already? Just putting it out there.

It's snowed a couple times this week here in Chicago, and things are looking quite festive outside of the Cricket offices! Enjoy the snow, Jwyn!

Hey, I've seen two other Floridians! Florida's um... ok. People were wearing full on winter jackets when it got to 40F. I was SO cold. It was 38F in the morning one day and there was actual frost on the grass and everything! I walked outside in sandals while going to piano and had to run back inside. It's currently 76F right now, which is actually sort of cold for this time of year in Florida. Some girl from Maine was in my class complaining about how thin-blooded we are while wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It's really hard to get into the holiday spirit, though. All the songs are talking about snow and cold weather and jingle bells, but it's hard to ring a jingle bell when you're dying of heat and the humidity feels like it's suffocating you (just kidding, it isn't that hot during winter time-more like constant 70s with a few low 40s). My neighbor put Christmas lights on his palm tree, which is quite common where I live, actually. But seriously can somebody make more festive songs for Floridians? Maybe something with beaches and disgusting marshes/marshy smells, sand, the ocean, and palm trees?

As for snow days... obviously we don't get those. But the thing is, we always have to read these poem things about snow (required by our county I think) that absolutely nobody can relate to and we are stuck looking up all these snow terms and snow things people have to do. Sometimes we get breaks for hurricanes though. Those are fun. One good thing about Florida is the thunderstorms, I really love thunderstorms.

hahahahaha....ha...

welp, we had a snow day the last week of school last year (finals week and in June, by the way) and we also had one in September, then it stopped snowing. I CAN STILL SEE THE GROUND OUTSIDE AND ITS DECEMBER. sigh. Oh, and its also like -10 degrees so thats fun. And some people still dont belive in global warming....like as if Arizona's heatwave and millions of hurricans weren't enough...AND I CANT EVEN GO SKIING BECAUSE ITS LITERALLY A SHEET OF ICE. GO AWAY TOURISTS AND LET THE LOCALS SKI!

@Claaws

Ugh, I know, it's AWFUL! It doesn't even feel like we live in Summit County. Of course, this probably means that we're going to get snow in summer.

Oh, by the way, did you audition for Mary Poppins Jr.? I did, and I got Neleus (a statue that comes to life) and a chimney sweep.
