RIP Summer Break

RIP Summer Break

RIP Summer Break

Ahhh, school starts on Monday for me! I'm kind of nervous because after five years of homeschooling, Moonfrost and I are moving to a private school! (One that's an hour and a half away from our house...and starts at 8:30 in the morning. :|)

How about you guys? Are you excited or nervous for school? Have any of you already started back?

I'm so sad that summer break is ending...but I hope you all have a great school year this year!!!

(Oh, and I also wanted to announce that because of all this school business, I'll probably be absent from my ski lodge for a little while longer than usual, as well as from any other threads/things I'm participating in. But once I get into the swing of things at school, I'll try to get back on writing!)

I happen to be homeschooled and therefor have been working through the summer- better overacheive than underacheive! but have been taking it slow (read: spending extra time playing the game boy and eating junk food)

I've never been to a private school so sadly I have no good advice, but I'll be starting more serious art classes this fall, so I suppose we're on the same boat. Anyways, RIP summer, it was nice to have you around to let us moon around the house or whatever we wanted. :)

Wow, I admire your drive, Pooki. I'd have a very hard time making myself work through summer! Good luck with art classes!

Oof! I always forget that not all people start school in September, for some people it's more like the middle of August. You and Moonfrost have fun at your school, and I pity you for having to get up super early. :[

I have over 3 weeks left, lucky me. I'm not thinking about it too much--no point in getting irrationally anxious this far in advance.

Oh hey, I live an hour and a half away from my school, too! It starts at nine, although you're really supposed to get there by 8:30. I might actually be on more when it starts; less sleeping all morning, plenty of neat little time slots to fill.

Good luck getting up early! It is possible without coffee--I've done it for years. The real challenge is sacrificing late evening activities for sleep.

Oh, good to know I'm not the only one facing super early mornings! And I know what you mean about the sleeping. I love staying up late, and I'm by no means a morning person. xD I guess that'll have to change, though.

Good luck Mice! I’m in a similar position to you; I’m in Edinburgh right now, and I’m starting school on the 15th. I’m about a 12 hour flight from California, so this will be new to me. Best case scenario, I get my English accent back. ;) I hope you and Moonfrost have a great year!

georgia says anap. Maybe she wants you to get more sleep?

Ugh, school. Is it really that time of year again? XD

I NEED MY SUMMER PLEASE STAY SUMMERRRRRRRR

Ahem. XD I've been homeschooled for all of my life, but this year my brother and I are doing our nearby school district's online middle school/high school program. It should be interesting, definitely something new, as I keep telling everyone. But thankfully, I still have three more weeks left.

Yes, how time flies...

Good luck with online school!! I had to take some online classes recently and they weren't that bad at all. My favorite part is that you don't have to grade any of your own assignments!

XD Thanks! Yeah, we're going to go choose what subjects we will take for the first semester soon, which should be interesting.

you lucky little homeschoolers and all your free time. *sighs wistfully*

I start school next Friday (yes you heard that right, a Friday ) at 7:15 in the morning. So if you all think u wake up early, think again! Oh, and my parents made me join the cheer team (of all things) so at 7:15am in front of the entire school (none of which I know because my parents made me move at the beginning of JUNIOR YEAR) we have to perform a bearly rehearsed routine! And unlike everyone else this is my first impression and if I mess things up now... *shudders* and I haven’t started any of the pounds of hw they just decided to give me like 3 days ago, that they expect me to have done. Yay school!

Cant give ya any help of private school, I went to one in 7th but it was more like a daycare then a school, and not even. They fail misrably at even looking after them, we could walk Main Street and no one would even notice we weren’t in class. So... hope yours if better then mine was!
