Chatterbox: Down to Earth

OK, this is

OK, this is random, but I'm starting to worry that someday I'll run into one of you by accident and never know it. That would be tragic. So I vote that we Chatterboxers come up with some phrase that we incorporate into the first conversation we have with any person, so that we will never meet each other and not know it. I'm sorry, but I'm starting to get paranoid about it. :P Suggestions as to what this Chatterboxer phrase could be?

We're Washingtonians. (By the way, what do you call someone from Tennisee? Or Ohio?)

Um, we will probably not meet each other, but it couldn't hurt... Maybe something like, ..... ... ... *tries not to sound like a doofus* fortune cookie?

I think I would probably know if the name sounded

familiar, but I agree, if anything the phrase needs

to be something simple (that way we won't end up

sounding *coughcough* weird). ;D But I'm sure we

could think of something. XD

If we said anything out-of-the-ordinary, the person would just leave, thinking we were mental. Too much of a risk.

Lol. Yeah. I vote for... I think it was R.D.'s.

Thanks Emily H. I DO NOT mean to be show offish, but I agree with mine, too. It's the least way to sound weird and just act normal. It's just saying something about a magazine we really like.

I agree. That's a good idea. :)

Sounds good!! :):) But now that I think about it, chances are, I'd ask somebuggy their name before I ask them if they get Cricket.  But, I guess there are probably tons of Emily's in Washington (for example), so I guess it's a good idea. :):):) But, hehe, Standish has one of the lowest populations of all Southern Maine cities, so if I meet a Zoe from Standish, I'll probably know it's her.  Buut, you never know...? :):):)

Would it be okay if I didn't use the chosen phrase or whatever it is? It's nothing against this plan or anything; it sounds good, but I'd feel sorta weird using it. I vote for Laura's plan, anyway - if there's a similar name, you can just say if you feel like it, 'Oh, that's funny - I know someone on this online forum with that name!'

Argh, now you are seeing my weird side, if you didn't realize it existed already.

Weird side? huh??

Anyway, I too would prefer not to say something silly. I'd rather do what me (heh) Lena and R~D~ have been saying. :)

Agreed.  Ask their name first... and if it sounds familiar you can ease into the whole Chatterbox thing.

Random: Admins, I know I'm on with you, how long do you stay on??  (=

Variable lenghts of time, depending upon how many comments are waiting to be posted and what other pressing things we have to do.

Yup, sounds good!

Poor Admin, working with pressing matters.... Are we terribly stressful?

Lol. Fine by me. It would be funny if I ran into you and you got scared and ran away screaming about internet stalkers.... Not that I'm stalking you! You know that! But it would be hilarious.
