Don't paint your nails bright colors (like red or something, but just clear, glitter, etc. is all right), and NEVER wear too much makeup (seriously! I normally wear a little bit of face glitter and some lip gloss. Yes, that's all.). You'll also be saving yourself a lot of work, such as, you don't have to spend a long time taking your makeup off every night and putting it on every morning, and you don't have to worry about chipped nail polish! :) If you act a little girly, that's okay, because a guy expects you to be somewhat female, not JUST a male. If that were the case, I'd be a failure at life. :):)

I normally don't wear any nail polish, and the most makeup I wear is some lip gloss, and then maybe some petroleum jelly to gloss up my eyelashes and give my cheeks some color. That's it!

Yesterday I painted my nails this almost neon pink, because I have this really bad bruise underneith one of my fingernails. Here is the story. Be prepared to cringe.

So, in July, we had Totus Tuus at our Church. So, on the last day, I was helping with the little kids, just like the rest of the week, and I was coming into the kitchen from outside. Somehow, my right ringfinger got caught in THE HINGE SIDE OF THE DOOR. After the door started closing, I finally realized what was happening. So I'm frantically trying to get the door open. Eventually, it got to the point where there was three or four inches of door left. I finally kicked the door open, and ran to the bathroom to get a wet paper towel. One of the teachers who was in the kitchen said, 'Hey, Elizabeth, are you okay?' All I could say as I literally RAN TO THE BATHROOM was, 'I have to go find out!!!' As it turned out, I had smashed the first joint of my finger pretty bad. There was at least twenty blood blisters on the palm of my finger, and the finger nail was turning purple. Yes, purple! I had to ice my finger for two days, and I had a hard time doing anything with my right hand. And I'm righthanded! So, now I have this horrible bruise that takes up half of my nail. It's still here after a month. I was sick of looking at it, so i finally just put on this really bright, pink nail polish. It's really fun to see girls' reactions when they see the bruise, though. I'm getting all jittery just thinking about that day! It hurt so bad, I couldn't cry!

It is my opinion that boyfriends are inherently evil... (not that I've ever had one) And be careful not to flirt.

Just be really, really nice to him.  Personally, I don't think middle schoolers should date, because each "relationship" lasts about twelve minutes, so it's a lot of wasted work.  Instead, just be his friend.  It's a good way to see if you really want to "date" him, and, maybe, by high school you will.  And it's a good way to see if he likes you, without any heartache.  I have a friend, and we both like each other, but we're Christians and believe it's a good idea to wait.  Soo, yeah, that's my serious side, and you'll probably never see it again, unless you need more advice. :):):):)

Yeah, I think that's the best idea, too, personally. :)

Haha, of course, we do go on one date every year, because Friday night at our church camp is 'date night', but no one really takes it seriously (fortunately!). :)

What if the guy's a few years older?

Then don't go anywhere near him until you're eighteen.

I really like what "Kenzie" said.  It makes sense.  If he's older... kinda depends if you mean like a couple months or years.  If years, I wouldn't think of trying to get his attention.

Cry I was afraid that someone was going to say that.

Well, it depends.  If he's like over 14 or something, then, yeah, don't even think about it, but if he's only a grade ahead of you, then I guess that's okay (Jimmy's a year older than me), but chances are, the older they are, the less likely they are to notice you, so try to stay around your age. Haha, of course, that's not always true, because a few of my brother's friends like me (only the younger ones, so the ones that are like 15 or 16), but that can get kind of annoying, because I don't ALWAYS want to hang out with them, and Clay doesn't want me to either! :)

Lol. Pardon me, but I find it hilarious that almost no one will use their real name on this thread. Seriously, don't be afraid to own up to your opinions if you have good reasoning to back them up. And if you don't have good reasoning, that shouldn't be your opinion anyway. *chuckles*

I'll start using my real name. I'm the one who started this thread, anyway.
