Hello all!! Wow,

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hello all!! Wow,

Hello all!! Wow, it's been a while since I've been on here. But I really miss you guys! (More on that in a second.) I joined the CB right at the beginning of 7th grade, and now that I'm a sophomore in high school, not middle school, my interests are different. I don't write much poetry, but I do enjoy reading what you all write!! You all got me through some rough times during middle school.

Okay, let me just say that even though I really haven't posted in a while, I still think of you guys a whole lot. I'm now 16, and I hope I can still be relevant here. I truly care about you all, and you are *all* amazing people. Don't you dare forget that. :)

So! Here's what's up with my life right now:

- I've continued my flute studies. I take an hour lesson every week, and it has helped me so much. I'm very involved with a lot of things at school that involve fluting (lol). I was the second flutist in my school's production of Peter Pan at the beginning of the year. After that ended in late October, it was auditon season. I auditioned for district band (which applies to all of the high school students in our area of my state), and made that! 7th chair out of 12! Woohoo! Making district band qualified me to audition for state, so I did. AND I MADE IT! I'm only a sophomore, so that is SUPER awesome. I'm 7th chair out of 12, but I'm just so grateful to be there. That will be next Thursday-Saturday. But this week is show week for Jesus Christ Superstar at my school! I'm the only flutist in the pit orchestra for that. It's so much fun!! Ahh!! JCS is such a great show, and we have a very talented cast, crew, pit, and directors helping to make it that way! (Unfortunately, though, one of the shows is tonight, so I won't be able to make it to the live chat. But hello all!! I miss you guys!)

- After JCS and state band, I will be performing in Story Theatre, a collection of short Brothers Grimm stories. I have one singular line, but yet again, I'm just happy to be there!! No small parts, only small actors!

So anyway, what are you all up to?

I made a planning thread, where a lot of people said hi, but no I never made a thread for me/about myself, so don't feel bad. ;)

Technically, life has been treating me super well. I've been having a few self-confidence issues, but other than that, I've been doing well. :) Thank you for asking!

I've been over-the-top busy, what with editing two novels, writing another, writing roleplay campaigns for friends, high school, and whatever games/art project that I'm into at the moment. Right now I'm playing Sid Meier's Pirates (which is awesome, BTW, and if anyone has Steam, it's on sale for dirt cheap right now.), and making maps for friends.

*tackle hugs* omk hi!!!!!!! How are you? You're a sophomore already, wow. And that's amazing that you got into all that with flute, that's so cool that you're so talented. lol, I can't play an instrument to save my life. *hugs* You're amazing too! All of you are so talented, it amazes me. I hope I can see you around more, and don't stop writing!! <3

Hi!!!!!! Dunno if you'll remember me, but *tackle hugs* anyway!!

That's so cool that you can play an instrument. I kinda dream of playing the violin one day, but *blush* I tried and... I can't even tune it. I think it's the vioin's fault, though!!! It kees slipping, so it's not totally me.... right??

Hey there, Poetic Panda! Good to see you. I'm glad you came back for the reunion and told us how your life's going. Yeah, I really haven't done poetry and creative writing in a long while, though I think I want to get back into it a little.

CONGRATS ON GETTING INTO ALL-STATE!!!!!! That's amazing. I'm a freshman and entered in the Texas All-State process this year for choir. I got into region choir :D and went to area, which for choir is the last audition, for all state. I didn't get into all state, but I'm going to try again next year, I'm just glad I got far. I know band and orchestra all-state are also very competitive, so really good job! Flutes sound so beautiful. The stuff you're doing with the play sounds fun too.

Not sure if you're still around Poetic Panda... but I just wanted to drop in and say hi, and it's so good to see you for just even a bit, and I suggest checking Micearenice's ski lodge. She's done a lot of good writing from it, and it's really developed a lot. :)

Thank you all for your heartwarming comments! You guys made my day, again! :) I'm sorry that it took me so long to respond. It has been a busy week!

@Cho Chang, you sound very busy, but all that sounds like fun stuff! Heyyyy I've been busy too!  Busy buddies! Lol! Glad to hear you're doing well. As for the self-confidence issues, I want you to know that I'm sure that all of the things you're doing are as awesome as you are. ;) Making maps for friends? Sounds awesome!

@Claaws, Hi!!!!!! :) *tackle hugs back* I'm doing pretty well, thanks! All-state band was last year, and it was SO FUN! I could go on and on about all of it but I don't want to bore you. Glad to hear you're hanging in there, too! *fist bump*

@Twirlgirl, Hi!!!!! :) *tackle hugs back* *group hug with Claaws* Not gonna lie, there's definitely a learning curve to playing an instrument! As for your issues, I'm sure they're the violin's fault. ;) Maybe you're an awesome musician and you just don't know it! Do you have an orchestra at your school or community? Perhaps you could go to them for help with your violin. I'm sure they'd love to talk to an aspiring musician!

@Owlgirl, Hey there! I hope to stick around a little longer. I guess the reunion is over now *tear* but I'm already looking forward to the next one! As for getting back into poetry and writing, go for it! I believe in you! Please don't hesitate to share with me if you'd like someone to read it. :) THANK YOU!!!! Congrats on region and area choir to you!! *hugs* Yes, band and orchestra are extremely competitive (flute section especially). In our state, the district (which I guess is region for you) choir audition is the very same one for state; but for band and orchestra, once you make district you have to audition again (with the same music!).

Also, Story Theatre got suuuuuper postponed because of this crazy weather, so that won't be till May.

Also-also, I'm on NaNo! (Not really writing a novel, though, but I do have a play that I'm proud of... but it's not on NaNo. Anyway!) You can also contact me on there. My username is Poetic_Panda. I think I accidentally made two usernames, but the Poetic_Panda that I am (going back to) checking is the one with the profile picture.

Ahh, I hope you all are still here! My apologies again for taking so long to respond. I love you guys! <3
