Instruments/Music!

Do you guys play any instruments? I'm a drummer! I can also sort of play guitar and ukelele, and by "play" I mean I know 6 or so chords and can look up tablature online. XD Previously I have played piano (when I was really young), cello, and a brief stint with flute. I stopped playing those instruments because I literally cannot read sheet music. I'm pretty sure I have music dyslexia, if that's a thing. I get the concept and how it works, but I just can't do it. I used to play songs by memorising the entire thing when my teacher played it.

If anyone else has music dyslexia I would highly recommend drums. It's so much fun and you don't have to read any music. Also, you can play a lot of modern, popular songs which I personally enjoy more than classical.

Anyway, I'd love to hear what instruments you play and any cool music stories!

Yeah! I sing (tenor) and play guitar pretty well, and play a lot of brass instruments passably.

I play the piano and have for as long as I can remember, but I didn't start lessons (or continue) them by choice, so it's only lately that I've really thought of myself as a musician since I am kind of forced to do it. But I think I actualy really like it.

I can kind of play guitar - I mean I know the basic chords and the strings, and I can play "Summertime" by memory, but I can't tune it without the piano and I rarely practice.

Mostly I enjoy singing. I don't know if I'm good or not, but I'm in a choir at school. I'm in the soprano section, and I think I'm kind of a lower soprano, which I like.

I sing in choir, although my voice teacher is super confused what part I am. I grew up singing basically everything in church, so I guess I have a wider range than some.

I play the piano. I've been playing for maybe five or six years now? I love it and dread it at the same time. I love the music, but since I don't have enough time to practice I often fail miserably in my lessons- that's the part I dread.

I play the ukulele in my youth group, which basically makes me practice every weekend(that really helps). I've had it for about a year.  I found it helpful to print out a chord chart. Also, find a mentor! Particularly a nice and supportive one.

I also like saying that I play the kazoo!

I used to play the piano, but now I play the saxophone. I really like playing the saxophone, and this is my third year playing it. I also sing in my school chourus, I think I have a lower voice, but I don't think it's quite low enough to be an alto.

I play piano. If I had to pick any instrument, though, I would like chello. Even though I've been on the piano primer book, which is pretty much for kids younger than me, I've learned Joy to the world by heart and am learning Hey, Jude by the Beetles.
