Which is your favorite ?Have you read Trickster's Queen and Becka Cooper? My mom does not approve of them. I read them anyway. I have all of the Protector of the Small, Lioness Quartet ,and the Daine books. I LOVE her name.=-).

Olivia, you sound a lot like me! I'm also a writer, have trouble finishing stories, and have an 8-year-old sister. It's so weird -- shortly after I asked where Tortall was, I started reading the Protector of the Small books when my friend recommended them. This was before I read your post about where it was. You're right, I love them! I started Protector of the Small books before the ones about Alanna and Daine, so I plan to finish Protector of the Small series and then go back to the others. I'm halfway through Squire now. They're great!

AR was a big thing at my elementary school. Back in 5th grade, my two really close best friends and I broke all the records for that school. I got, I think 517, my friend Kate got 700-something, and Ellie had 900-something. When we went to middle school, though, we made a pact not to do AR anymore because in 5th grade at one point we were all competing to get the most and we sort of turned against eachother. Now it's sort of become tradition at my elementary school that everyone tries to beat our records. Last year, one kid got over 1,000! I still read enough to get a lot of AR points, but (a) a lot of the books I read don't have AR quizzes (b) I want to stick to our pack, and (c) I have so much other stuff going on that, frankly, it would be a waste of time for me to do it. But I gobble up books too, so I definetly know what you're talking about!

YAY!  I'm on Trickster's Queen right now and I've read all the ones you talked about except Becca Cooper. I love Daine the most, I guess, and I was really excited when, in Trickster's Queen, the Darkings appeared! I started making oohing noises and got a lot of strange looks... We also have AR at our school! Except we have a certain goal and once we read it all we don't have to take tests. Mine is 75 points, which seems small compared to what you're talking about, per quarter. But I get finished MUCH sooner than that! I, too, LOVELOVELOVE reading. I never can understand those who don't.

We had goals to, but those depended on the star test which determined our level. Where is Ramjuat?

Hey, Olivia! My name is ZhiXin and I am 12 this year. I am living in Singapore and I love music. I love classical music most, and my favourite composer is Mozart. His pieces are awesome! I also love playing my violin, especially duets with other violinists. Other than spending time practicing my violin, I love reading books too,and I have a collection of novels in my house. I read a lot, and the most recent books i read are Twilight,New Moon,Eclipse & Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. They rock! I really want to meet more 12 year-olds from other countries. :)

I think it's in Trickster's Queen. Either that or I made it up out of thin air. :)
