Music thread!

Hello, this is Golden Lion Tamarin. I used to be GoldenLionTamarin, but I decided to add the spaces because otherwise it would be too confusing. I added that note here for the sake of saving space on the top. Now to the music part.

What kind of music to you like to listen to? I like everything minus jazz. What instruments do you play ("Vocals" is completely acceptable)? I play piano, guitar, a little bit of ukulele, and violin.

Well, I guess you can talk about anything about music. For instance, I have written 4 songs for violin (one is a concerto!).

Signing off!

Regards,

Ahhh Heathers!!! Such a unique and strange show, I just got into it a few weeks ago. My favorite songs are Candy Store (because obviously), Seventeen, Meant to be Yours, Yo Girl, Dead Girl Walking (Reprise), and My Dead Gay Son. What about you??

I was listening to Mexican radio stations on a website which has radio stations from all over the world (I won't name it because of CB rules), and there was one which had some country/rock. There was a man speaking when I tuned in, introducing the band that was going to play. He explained that the band was from Austin, and they played country/rock, which was music that is... well... very "agricultural." My whole family just cracked up. Here in the US country and rock are two of the most fashionable genres you can get, and in Mexico they're called "agricultural music"?! XD It's always so interesting to see what people in other countries think of you.

Has anyone heard of Rush E? I created my own remix, which I can actually play and, like the original song, includes the following:

- VERY fast repetitions of the E, C, and D notes

- The basic melody (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEFED#EAC...)

- A very loud bang of as many white key notes as I can at the end.

Listen to Rush E. It was created as a meme as some impossible-to-play song generated by a computer and it still counts as classical music.

I play the piano and I'm learning to play the guitar. Rush E at first starts off not too bad but then ends up going super chaotic.

Yeah, I don't play the part where it does the whole MIDI picture.

I play piano- for four years this autumn, I think. I usually play classical music, specifically sad and beautiful classical. But sometimes I'll find something sad and pretty that's from more recently, and I play those sorts of songs, too. I know how to play some songs from Cruella (the movie), and some by Lorde, too. I think my favorite song to play right now is Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel.

But my favorite piano player is George Winston! He's INCREDIBLE!!!! It's hard to describe how good he is. He does a lot of variations on old classical pieces. I haven't seen him play anything yet, not even music videos, but I bet his fingers are flying over the keys, and yet he still manages to press them in a beautifully musical way. If you haven't heard him already, you should definitely listen to his songs! I like his album December a lot. I would recommend Variations on the Kanon and The Holly and The Ivy.

Happy music-playing/listening, everybody!
