Um. Hi? Please pretend there is something interesting here and start a scintillating conversation. Thank you! (I'm kinda bad at social stuff...)

And with that epic start, I will abruptly leave.

hey!! I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with this recently, life is so hectic and going to get worse (soccer every day! robotics every day! tons of homework! other extracurriculars! etc!!)

school starts again tomorrow :/—actually today wait it's after midnight :P

how's your story going? Has Daisy found her father yet? that's basically what I remember of your plot lol but it sounded intriguing

oh and I love your ski lodge so far!! hexcellent food and jinx literally made my day it's so genius :D

welllll about six weeks ago you asked for pop recommendations? I usually listen to indie/rock stuff but I also like mellow pop I think (it's really hard for me to classify my music tastes into genres for some reason). I guess I like the folklore album by Taylor Swift, mxmtoon's 'fever dream,' 'lessons,' 'quiet motions,' and 'bon iver,' I'm Here by Sweet Talk Radio, 'It's in the Rain' and 'Echoes in Rain' by Enya, and 'I believe in you' and 'Suitcase' by JJ Heller.

those are all really chill songs but if you wanted something more energetic, I like 'Spaceman' by Nick Jones, 'Fire N Gold' by Bea Miller, 'Graffiti' by CHVRCHES, 'Feel Good' by Daya, 'Read your Mind' by Sabrina Carpenter, and 'rubberband' by Tate McRae. most of these recs are pretty old though I don't think I've listened to them in a while

do you have any song recs? indie/rock if possible but I'm good with pop too if that's what you listen to :)

I'm sorry if I don't respond for a while, but I'll try my best!!

Heyyy! I understand that your life is busy (how dare you have a life outside the CB! :P)

I don't know much about robotics, what's that about?

:o Thank you so much for asking about my story! It means a lot to me :) I haven't gotten to were Daisy has found her father yet. I haven't worked on it THAT much, my ski lodges are kinda taking up all my writing, but I don't mind :) Right now, I have 135 sheets of paper (so 270 pages) and 66,300 words :DDDD

Tysm! It makes me really happy to share my work like that :) I'm also glad you like the pun XD I literally have it written on paper somewhere, I'll have to post it soon

OOO thanks! I'll add them to the 'really need to listen to these someday' list lol

I don't really know any rock or indie, but I've really been enjoying Complicated by Avril Lavigne. It's rock, and I probably should check out her other stuff BUT

Pop... hehe, I love pop, but don't know many songs! That's why I ask all the time :) other than BTS, ofc, which is K-Pop.

And thaaaat's fine if you don't respond! I'll keep this topped since you want to continue :)

Robotics!! It's part of the First Robotics Challenge (FRC), which is a yearly global (I think) competition where teams make robots to complete a certain challenge—stuff like moving game pieces (cones, balls, tori, etc) or manipulating the robot to do certain things like hang from a chain. This year's game is super cool! Kickoff was today, meaning the game was released at 9 am. I spent most of the day at school prototyping and building things :D

I'm usually pretty useless in the shop but I'm trying to learn! I spent a few hours today building part of a game field approximation out of wood, which was pretty fun, and I got to hang out with a lot of friends.

It's gonna be a crazy few months, because robotics is usually a nightmare in terms of time—basically every waking moment I can be at school lol. Plus I have school soccer every day at the same times and games and homework and etc... but it'll be fun! (I hope...)

270 pages is amazing!! It's been a while since I've written something without a prompt/for fun, but I think my longest story was ~50 pages. It was about a kid named Mildred who met a dragon, I think.

Yeah, seriously your ski lodge is amazing! I usually lose motivation on reading ski lodges a few chapters in (and then feel guilty about not posting or paying attention but I don't have time ack) but it's really impressive how fast you've been writing parts and I think that's helped me keep up a bit. It's great so far!

Yeah, I know that song :) I've never really listened to much K-Pop. I know like two J-pop songs by heart (we sang them in Japanese class last year XD) but other than that nothing K/J-Pop related. If I was going to listen to a few BTS songs, which would you recommend?

it's crazy it's been over a year since this thread started, huh

OOOOO that sounds super cool! I almost wish I was involved- almost. I'm not that techy haha ;p That's also cool! I'm glad you are having fun with it!

Ha, that is a defination of BUSY! I just hope you don't overwork yourself and frazzle your brain (even more then it might already be...?)

Yeah! I'm really happy about it, and I almost positive I'll be able to write the next two books that are going to be the sequels (once I finish? :I)

Okay, that right there makes me want to write more for my lodge. I'm probably going to post at least 1 (but maybe 2,3, or even 4!) time a week, just to keep me on top of it.

Thanks for indulging in my BTS obsession and letting me suggest a few songs lol! Hmm. I think for you, 'Not Today' 'Black Swan' 'MIC Drop' 'So What' and 'ON' would be ones you might like more. But you HAVE to (well, ofc not HAVE to, but y'know, I'd be soo happy if you did) listen to Outro: Wings. It's definetly my #1 favorite by them LOVE to dance to it got some good vibes~

How much does the homework in high school vary from middle? Is it just a bunch more?

And you said you take the train or something to school now? (for like the past year or so anyway) how's that? Is it fun?

Bye for now! Oh, HA, Kwani says <gtgun> got to go, youngun'? lollll

oVeRwOrK MySeLf? frazzle my brain? who, me? :D lol I swear I'll try!!

sequels! wow, that's super impressive! do you have any ideas for plots for those yet? four times a week for your ski lodge is also crazy to me :0 I haven't written something for fun in so long... I really should but I kind of don't have the time/energy anymore :( I've even been struggling to read more lately

okay I listened to Outro: Wings! I liked it, although K-Pop isn't really my thing. I also don't rly dance in general or even to songs that much but I totally get where you're coming from lol

I think I have about the same amount of assignments, but the high school ones take longer each night and have a much shorter time before they're due. Maybe a week/week and a half per essay? A math test a month? A Japanese test or two every few weeks as well, because there's three different types (reading comprehension, listening, and kanji, plus three speaking assignments per semester where I talk with the teacher 1-on-1 in only Japanese [it's legitimately terrifying :/ ])

yeah! I actually really like taking the train. It's kind of loud when it arrives into the station (think three screaming children stuck in a room and crossed with rusty nails on a chalkboard for a few seconds but probably not as loud as that would be huh [ok that was a super twisted metaphor and probably sounds nothing alike but ~indulge me~]) and sometimes there's sketchy people, but it's relaxing to have some time to listen to music/read my book without knowing anyone around me. do you ever take public transport?

how's your dog doing? (the important questions ofc)

Haha, okay!

Yes sequels! Yeah, I do have a basic story line for each of them, buuuuut it you'd like, have to read my story and THEN I'd talk your ear off for another 3 hours to understand the other stories. BUT #2 is a evil water spirit that caputures one of the characters, and #3 is a war kinda thing? so ya

Yay! lol, I didn't think it make the greatest impression on you, BUT can't blame a girl for trying :P

It sounds SUPER overwhelming to me- all that homework... in a short amount of time... AHHHHH so glad I'm never going to have to do that :D Do you want to go to collage?

Oooo that sounds noisy I can totally see what you're saying *winces* I don't like noise (or cities :/) No, I haven't riden public transportation (as far as I can remember?) I mean, I've been to airports and stuff. And I did ride a bus in Yosemite one time... but that doesn't really count? so yep

How's he? Hmmmm. Pretty good. He's getting old still (shocking yes I know) and he lays around a lot, but he's still alive. I think. he's sleeping right now WAIT.

*checks to see if he's breathing*

Okay, yep, all good. How's your ADORABLE puppy doing?

OH and yes, it's SUPER cool that we've done this for over a year!! I'm glad I know you, even if it's not irl :DD

that's so cool! evil water spirits and wars sound awesome :)

yeah, I'd like to go to college. I'm excited for the freedom it'll give me—my house is kind of claustrophobic and my parents are pretty strict about certain things. I also have an older brother who's in college right now, so I can see all the cool stuff he gets to do and get jealous haha. I'd also generally be interested in studying some cool STEM field, I think I could learn a lot. Do you want to go to college? If so, (and ik we're both too young to really consider this) what would you want to study? What about after college (if you go to college)—is there a job you'd love to have?

doggo! she's good :D still naughty and demanding but super cuteee

*tries to think of something else clever to say because this feels short* have you read any good books recently?

Thank you! *bows*

I really don't want to go to collage, so I won't! My parents don't care. But they did suggest that maybe I take a class or two for art or writing, and I'm pretty down for that. But I don't want to, like, actually actually go to collage? Yeah... But I see where you're coming from. Hope you enjoy your freedom when it arrives!

I want to be an published author, ofc. But if I have to do side jobs, I'd love to work in a book store, or library, or something like that. I mean, if worst comes to worst, I'd just work at any old store :P What about you? What are you aiming for?

Aw I really, really want a puppy of my own :D maybe someday

Books... Well, lately I've just been rereading Brandon Mull books. But I did just reread School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani. If you haven't read them, I think you'd enjoy them! They have this fairy tale thing to them, but the also have a romantic and dark part to them. I really love them, I think I've reread them 5-7 times in the past 4 years XD What about you? Is school work and soccer taking up any free reading time?

sorry it's taken so long to reply! Life's been crazy lately :)

It'd be super cool to be an author, but I don't think that's for me. I don't do enough writing... I do volunteer for an hour or two each week at my local library though. It's really fun! And I get to take home lots of slightly used books for free (which is very nice but also very bad for my time management skills and the limited space left on my teetering bookshelf). Working at a bookstore, at least part time, would be awesome—the community, being surrounded by books all day... I'd probably go for some interesting mechancial engineering or science research job though. I enjoy STEM a lot and it'd be so cool to work in a lab or shop like that.

I'm going to live alone, have like four cats, and a bunch of books when I grow up haha. It's gonna be great :D I love dogs too ofc but I think cats'd be easier to take care of, and single me is going to have a lot of others tuff to do :)

I've read Fablehaven and Dragonwatch, but it's been a while. I never managed to get through Beyonders, though. What's your favorite series? I liked Fablehaven—I remember re-reading it multiple times :D I've never read the School for Good and Evil. They seemed kind of cliché and I never really picked them up, but maybe I'll give them a try!

Yep! No free time! Soccer soccer soccer robotics robotics robotics homework soccer robotics! :D

Heller!

It's taken me quite a long time to respond too... well...

Ohhh I want to volunteer at a library so bad... I hope I can soon it sounds amazing. :0 and I would SO take home used books- haha, your books shelf is like mine! Only, I have two like that! (well, did and will, right now most everything is in storage because I just moved and we don't have a house yet)

I think that it's cool that you enjoy science! I just can't get into it at all, just isn't my thing, but that sort of thing is interesting.

four cats! yeah, they are easier to take care of then a dog, but I think I'd still prefer a dog... well, maybe an outdoor cat. I definetely won't have a indoor cat, no matter what.

It's really hard to choose my favorite series! They are all soooo good, Brandon Mull is SUCH a good author. But if I had to choose *considers shoving all the books in to 1st place* well, maybe Fablehaven, but still! Beyonders is super goood, it's such an epic adventure. And I love how there are humanoid people in it that haven't been imagined by anyone else (to my knowledge)

Hmm, idk, maybe they are slighly cliche? but not really? I think that it's pretty originally adopted? idk....

well, if you enjoy doing all that, then I won't get on you or anything like an annoying big sister (idk, am I older then you? annoying younger sister/cousin, then maybe?)

would you like to do a story with me like we did before, to get you writing a bit? it doesn't matter if you do or not, just thought maybe it could get your writing juices flowin' a bit :)
