Fads!

What's popular around you now?  Right now people have squishies, sillybands, and (the dummest idea ever) mighty beans.  Does anybuggy follow the fads, or do you prefer not to because you think they're weird?  Sorry, I have to go!!

PS, has anybuggy heard of what I mentioned above?

Sillybandz are hugely popular here too, and in south Florida, these plastic figure things called Go-Gos are the biggest thing.  I personally think fads are pointless, so I don't even bother trying to keep up with them.  Ugg boots were really popular here in winter, which was the stupidest thing ever, because in FL, winter lasts about 2 months, so why bother spending money on boots you'll only wear for a few weeks?

Yeah.  I don't keep up with them either, for the most part. I admit that I have never even heard off Ugg boots until now. Although that's probably because it never gets cold here, and I don't keep track of brand names.

@ Cherry: 70 degrees?! In summer?! *sigh* I really envy you. Here it's only so cold in March and April. It's about 100 degrees now.

@ Ima, hehe yeah.  Our summers are considered cold to my cousin's in Alabama.  IMHO It's nice to not be sweating like crazy, but still feel like it's summer.

Silly Bandz (yeah, it's two words and has a "z").  About two months ago, I was hanging out with my friend from Saco, Maine (about fifteen or so minutes from where I live), and she had on a weird warped bracelet, so I asked her what it was (no one in my town had them yet).  She was like, "Ohmygosh, you don't know what Silly Bandz are?!"  So she gave me her hippo bracelet.  Personally, I thought it was pretty stupid, but I took it anyway because I didn't want to be mean.  I wore it maybe twice, just because I felt like it, and all my friends from my town were like, "What's that thing on your hand? Oh, that's dumb, no offense...".  But now, for some reason, they ALL have Silly Bandz.  Each person wears like twenty at a time.  I really don't like them, though; why pay five dollars for a pack of demented rubber bands when you could pay five dollars towards something useful like starving kids in Africa or stopping factory farming?  I dislike my pink hippo...  Haha :)

Hm... I go to a different type of school than most people, so maybe I just don't experience what's popular or not, but it seems that poular stuff here is: Card game called "Magic". Pokemon. Poptarts. Ninjas. A song called, "Tik tok". Lady Gaga. Owl city. People, things, and characters named Bob. And that's just off the top of my head. A lot of these are probably popular everywhere, though.

@Kenzie: I'm glad you got what I was getting at ;)

@Emily: Ninjas are a general thing that I think originated on the internet. Tik Tok is a pop song by a singer named Ke$ha and was on the itunes top ten charts for a long time, which explains the popularity. The same goes for Lady Gaga and Owl City. The Bob obsession is silly.

Don't listen to me because I'm in a bad mood right now.

Bob and the songs are popular here, too. I've no idea about the rest.

Silly bandz? *googles silly bandz* I have never seen or heard of those bands until this post. They look like something a five-year-old would wear. I mean, animal rubber bands? Oh and don't even mention Lady Gaga. How immoral can you get. Not to mention weird. Oh, the one thing that is really popular here (probably everywhere) is those gladiator sandals and Egyptian sandals. At least that's what I call them. Those annoy me, not so much the sandals themselves, but the fact that every. single. person. wears them. (Haha watch me go and buy some.)

I totally agree with ZNZ's first comment. If Silly Bandz weren't so popular, I would wear them. I see all these girls with TONS of them on their wrists, and the silly (haha) thing is, you can't even tell what shapes they are! They just look like a bunch of squiggly hair bands. I have never heard of squishes or mighty beans. What in the world are mighty beans?

Erm... PLEASE don't take offense at this, but that was a bit hard to understand. I mean, I know what you said, but it took me a while to puzzle out certain things. Do you think that you could perhaps try to use slightly fewer abbreviations in the future? Again, please don't  take offense. I just think it would be easier...
