Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Thanksgiving! :) Since

Thanksgiving! :) Since it's right around the corner, I was wondering, what is everybuggy's favorite Thanksgiving food? Turkey, cranberries, stuffing, etc. Also, does your family do anything special for Thanksgiving? You Admins can answer this too! :)

My favorite feast foods are sweet potatos and cranberries. Oh, and pie of course, ;) We'll be going to AZ to spend Thanksgiving with my grandma this year, which should be loads of fun. I am excited to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade and for the Black Friday Sales the next day! Also, to me, Black Friday is the start of the Christmas Season, so I alway break out the Christmas music and hot coco. :)

I LOVE Thanksgiving! I think stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mashed AND sweet potatoes are my favorite. All with lots of gravy, of course!

I think that the pumpkin, apple, and other pies and desserts at Thanksgiving are the best. I am just going to watch the Macy's Day Parade in my pajamas, then dress up nice because we are having Thanksgiving dinner with some family friends!Smile

Yeah Choco, pies are awesome! :) That sounds like a fun, relaxed Thanksgiving. I love that kind of holiday! :)

I think my favorite Thanksgiving foods are the turkey, stuffing, and my mother's Pet Milk Pumpkin Pie, warm out of the oven. After all the dishes are done, we might play some fun game (Balderdash, anyone?) or, if everyone's interested, go to a movie. (Harry Potter, everyone?)

What's with the CS in front of your name, Admin? Does it stand for something? Crime scene? Clever Slytherin?

Charles Schultz, I think!

You're right Another Admin, it stands for Charles Schulz! ZNZ, it's because that Admin has been to the Charles Schulz museum and the Snoopy Ice Skating rink in Santa Rosa and Laura and I just went to the skating rink a couple of weeks ago and I called him/her (this is a kind of embarrassing question, but CS Admin, are you the boy or one of the girls?) the Charles Shulz Admin. Now, he/she is using it for a name! :) My sister and I were thinking, wouldn't it be cool if each of the Admins had a nickname so that we could know which one is which? What do you Admins think? :)

CS Admin is female. I think we're supposed to remain pretty anonymous, so I'll only use the CS in some very specific circumstances. But we'll see. Maybe the others will do the same from time to time.

Yes, Charles Schulz (no t). It's sort of a long story, but when Chatterboxers Kimmie and Laura met for the first time in person during Kimmie's road trip with her family, one of them posted that they went ice skating. And since I know Laura is from Santa Rosa, CA, and I visited Santa Rosa several years ago and went skating at the rink built by Charles Schulz, I asked Kimmie and Laura if that's where they went skating, and they said yes. And then Kimmie said sometimes it would be nice if they could tell the Admins apart. So I said I could go by CS Admin (although many times I will still just use Admin).

FYI, Charles Schulz's daughter was a figure skater.

Ooh, CS Admin, just the name of that pie sounds good! :) Playing games with friends/family is so much fun and so is seeing a movie!

The pie has a little molasses in it.

Yay for Thanksgiving!  I'm really looking forward to it. :)  I may be going to Vegas to visit my aunt and cousins and grandma which will be really great.  But we may stay home and go to my friend's house.  I'm really excited for all that amazing food.  Mmmm. I don't really have a favorite food - I like the combination of the turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.  My dad also makes these AMAZING potato rolls that are to die for.

Happy Thanksgiving everbuggy!

How early do you get up for Black Friday, Kimmie?  My sister and her friend were up at like 3 am last year, and ate lunch (burritos) at 8 am!!  (grossssss).  I might go with them this year just for the fun of it... I don't think I'd have the right mind to buy something I actually like at 4 am!

I love stuffing and gravy!  The gravy is a necessity, I put it on the turkey, the potatoes, the stuffing, well, yeah you get it.  :)  Typically, we get up, watch the Parade and otherwise, we don't have really any traditions! :'(  And YAY Christmas music on Thanksgiving!  What's annoying is we already have two of our main radio stations completely converted to Christmas music..... in October!  How ridiculous is tthhaattt?

@Leaf: I haven't seen you in a very long time. *scolds* *shakes finger* *smiles* great to see you back! Don't scare me like that AGAIN! XD

@R~D~: Welllll, we really don't have a set time. Last year we woke up around 5:30, I want to go for 5 or earller this year! :D I love waking up early. :) Ha, ha, we don't have burritos, but we do make Thanksgiving Sandwiches out of the feast leftovers-we use rolls as the bread and fill them with turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, etc. They taste SO GOOD! :) I'll try and post a picture of one after Thanksgiving. :) You should totally go with your friends, I bet you'd have a great time! I can't wait for Christmas music!!!! But, they started playing it in October over there? Wow. I guess they wanted to skip Fall this year! ;)

Yeah Leaf, it's my favorite holiday! I'm so excited. :) I hope you have fun either way (Vegas or friend's house). Potato rolls, those sound good! :)

Yes, the thought of potato rolls is sounding awfully good to me about now. I can almost smell them warm out of the oven. It's been a long time since my last meal.
