Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Thanksgiving! :) Since

Thanksgiving! :) Since it's right around the corner, I was wondering, what is everybuggy's favorite Thanksgiving food? Turkey, cranberries, stuffing, etc. Also, does your family do anything special for Thanksgiving? You Admins can answer this too! :)

My favorite feast foods are sweet potatos and cranberries. Oh, and pie of course, ;) We'll be going to AZ to spend Thanksgiving with my grandma this year, which should be loads of fun. I am excited to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade and for the Black Friday Sales the next day! Also, to me, Black Friday is the start of the Christmas Season, so I alway break out the Christmas music and hot coco. :)

I LOVE Thanksgiving! I think stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mashed AND sweet potatoes are my favorite. All with lots of gravy, of course!

SWEET POTATOES!!!!!!!!!!!!

My thanksgiving just got ruined though because Gramma went to the emergency room this morn or last night, I'm not sure.

Well, maybe she'll be better fast, Charlotte. We hope so. Or maybe you can visit her wherever she is. Sometimes the least expected happenings are the most meaningful.

I hope your Grandma gets better soon Charlotte. *hugs* I bet your Thanksgiving won't be as bad as you think; everything will probably turn out OK. :)

I love stuffing!!! 'Tis the best.

@CS Admin-Balderdash is the most awesome game ever!!!! (mainly because I tend to win :D)

We have Beyond Balderdash, too. It's just as much fun as the original.

@ CS Admin (again!)- I played Beyond Balderdash for the first time a few months ago with my cousins!! We had an absolute ball. My favorite ones were the dates and abbreviations. It was quite chaotic with about 10 kids sitting around a table talking over each other and laughing hysterically.

Yes, Beyond Balderdash definitely leads to hysterics. I like all the categories. They really level the playing field. Some people, even young children, can completely fool you. I really enjoy and appreciate the creativity of others!

Generally, I go to visit my grandparents for Thanksgiving. Other than that, we don't generally have many traditions... It's fun, though! My aunt and cousins will be their as well; I don't know about everyone else. My favorite traditional food was always pie, but now I just discovered about a thousand food sensitivities (sort of like allergies or intolerances) I never knew about (Maybe that's why I've been sick for nearly half a year now?), and I can hardly eat anything, so I won't be eating too many traditional Thanksgiving foods, but I'll be having a sweet potato and cranberries and possibly some sort of pumpkin dessert! My favorite of those things will probably be the pumpkin dessert, if I have it (Most of these sensivities aren't serious, and I'll be able to eat much more eventually, but we're adding things one at a time until this illness goes away.), and if I don't, it'll be the cranberries.

I'm so sorry about your food allergies Ima. I hope now that you know about them you'll start to feel better! *hugs* :)

Thanks! :) To be honest it was really more like a month ago that I found out about them (I just didn't really say anything.), but I'm already feeling somewhat better than I was before then! We're gradually adding things back... slowly...

Thanksgiving! Yay! Usually, about 3/4 through the meal, I have to go, lie down, then get back up and finsh the meal. Well, I do that whenever we eat at Grandma's, but I especially pig out on Thanksgiving. My favorite goods are turkey and mashed potatoes, both with gravy.

Ooh, I love the stuffing most of all, but then I drown it in gravy to make it even better! Then I love pie, too. ;) Well, we always go to the Thanksgiving Mass at our Church on Thanksgiving morning, so that's fun. =) I like thinking about everyone I'm thankful for. =D

Since Fall is almost over (Well, Winter actually starts on December 21st, but you know what I mean... :)) I thought I'd post some Fall photos!

Sorry, Kimmie, we can't post someone else's photos you send us. It's a copyright issue.
