YIPPEE!!!!  Snow!!  It&

YIPPEE!!!!  Snow!!  It's snowing.  Here. In Washington!!!! :)  It's 28 degrees outside and the snow is actually sticking on the ground and not melting.  The ground is almost covered and the snow is still coming down heavily.  It's going to be a white Thanksgiving, hopefully!

I also wanted to let everyone know, since this is a somewhat pointless thread, I am leaving for St. Louis Dec. 1st and will be returning to WA Dec. 9th.  Meadow, I will be on the look-out for you! :P  (You live near there, right?)  My aunt is having surgery this morning to remove cancer.  We will get to St. Louis right when she's being released from the hospital, so we will be there to help out with my little cousins while my aunt recovers.  Please pray for my aunt to have a safe surgery and NO MORE CANCER!  Thanks so much!

Typically we only get rain here so snow is a tiny miracle. :) Since I used to live in Ohio, I'm used to cold too.  But everyone here complains it's "freezing" when it's 45 degrees!  Sadly, I've become one of those people... :P Snow makes everything so bright and cheery!  I would rather it be cold with snow then cold without it!

That's what I always say, RD. If it's cold out, there might as well be snow, something to have fun with!

We probably won't have snow for another 3 weeks, at least, so right now it's just the bleak and freezing Iowa countryside. :)

Pretty much the same as Brynne here in Nebraska, although it was rather icy out yesterday.........

Brynne, if you don't mind, where in Iowa do you live??? I'm up by the SD/NE border.

@Emily: I think we live on either sides of Seattle, about two hours apart.  I looked this up before, but I don't feel like doing it again right now. :)  We live near the ocean.  Well, technically, it's the sound, but it's still ocean water.  My whole town is right on the water.  Very nice! :P  I KNOW!  We had two neighbors have trees fall ON their houses because of the windstorms!

@Ima: I can't believe it either.  I mean, snow is a rarity as it is, but in fall?!  I understand why we're getting snow, though: it's 20 degrees!!!

@Admin: Exactly!

Wow, that's awesome! :D You must be getting into the holiday spirit-I know I would be if it was snowing here! :) OK, thanks  for letting us know you're leaving. I hope you have a fantastic trip! Oh, by the way, Meadow lives in IL. :) I will keep your aunt in my prayers, I hope the surgery went fine and that the cancer is all gone. *hugs*

No snow yet here in the Chicago suburbs. But there are some icicles! I've been NaNoing so much lately I haven't really had the time for Cricket, (sorry, Cricket) but as soon as it's December I should be right back.

OMG I wish that it would snow here in "Sunny, Southern California!" It's always soooo hot, except for today, 'cause it was kinda cold. But NO RAIN. And NO SNOW!!! At least I get to go up north for Christmas with my cousins. Oh, and I really hope that your Aunt gets better! My aunt has cancer and it's horrible. Her hair fell out, and now I have to get used to straight, black hair instead of long, curly, brown hair. :( It's horrible for everyone who has cancer. I hate how lots more people it seems have cancer.

Cancer diagnosis and treatment has improved greatly over the last 25 years. People are being diagnosed earlier, so it may seem like more people have cancer, but the earlier cancer is found, the more likely it can be successfully treated. There are many, many cancer survivors living active, healthy lives. We send our very best wishes to your aunt and Robyn's aunt and all cancer patients!
