YIPPEE!!!!  Snow!!  It&

YIPPEE!!!!  Snow!!  It's snowing.  Here. In Washington!!!! :)  It's 28 degrees outside and the snow is actually sticking on the ground and not melting.  The ground is almost covered and the snow is still coming down heavily.  It's going to be a white Thanksgiving, hopefully!

I also wanted to let everyone know, since this is a somewhat pointless thread, I am leaving for St. Louis Dec. 1st and will be returning to WA Dec. 9th.  Meadow, I will be on the look-out for you! :P  (You live near there, right?)  My aunt is having surgery this morning to remove cancer.  We will get to St. Louis right when she's being released from the hospital, so we will be there to help out with my little cousins while my aunt recovers.  Please pray for my aunt to have a safe surgery and NO MORE CANCER!  Thanks so much!

@Clair: I live sort of in central-ish IA. I've been to your area though, because my grandparents used to live there before they got this crazy idea to build a house on the edge of my cousins' acreage in IL. So now we live at least 9 hours away from all our relatives on both sides.

@Robyn: I hope she gets better soon! I'll pray!

Thank you everyone! :)  Sadly, the snow melted yesterday and now it's back to 40 degree weather.  Hopefully there will be more snow later on this December!  :)

@ZB: Hey, I live in SoCal as well!  It has been cold here, but it seems like cold is sweeping the country.  I was in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving and it was in the 30s and 40s the whole time we were there.  We frequently checked the weather in other places, and it was very similar.  But no rain and snow for us. :)  And yes, it did seem like people are getting more cancer now, but the Admin are right.  It's just people are getting diagnosed earlier.

Oh, and Robyn (love your name, by the way), send your aunt all our best wishes.  (Well, *ahem* it might be weird to say that some random people from the internet hope she gets better, but you know what I mean.)

I'm really sorry about your aunt ZB. *hugs*

I know what you mean--we lived in CA for 4 years, NO SNOW!

That's a really awesome point Admin! :)

It was snowing here, just outside of Boston, last night.  I was so dissapointed.  In New England, when it starts snowing, you know it's winter.  And winter means under freezing for three months.  The low today is in the twenties.

@ZB: hehe, WA state. :)  Trust me, it doesn't always snow here.  If you want to live here because of snow, I'd try a more consistent place.  If I remember correctly, it snowed always in Ohio.

@Leaf: Thanks! (about my name. It never occurred to me, except for recently, that no one really knows my name.  So I write my name at the end of my post, occasionally, if I remember.) Yeah, I think I'd kinda freak her out. :P  But thank you so much.  She's recovering well, I believe.  Like Admin said, her cancer was caught early.  Hey, and I haven't seen you in a while!  It's SUPER great to see (read) you, Leaf!! XD

HOW CAN YOU LIKE THE COLD?!?!?!?!?!?!

The only months not cold around here are the summer and a little of the spring + fall.  We had a blizzard on April Fool's Day once.  Of course, I wasn't born yet...

Ah summer... 104 degrees. Pure heaven.

Lucky! It has been a very warm winter here in Georgia, which is not normal, 'cause in normally gets really cold. I was able to walk outside in a t-shirt and jeans at the beginning of November, but now *finally* I need to wear long-sleeves and a coat. Hopefully we'll get a few flakes of snow (that'll melt immediately) sometime soon. I'll pray for your aunt, RD!

I live in Ontario. And it has snowed lots. But the snow always melted. It's still brown here. And it's December. And I'm in Ontario. In Canada. This is embarassing.

Oh, and R~D~, hows your aunt?

@ZB: I'm sorry about your aunt. I have a relative who lost her hair via cancer. (I actually didn't know until she came to my house and I saw her without her wig) Does your aunt wear a wig too?

Cancer really stinks does it not? And apparently, more people have been diagnosed in the higher advancement of the years. But I know what Admin said. That that's a good thing. But it also seems like more people have cancer than, say, the early 1900s, when not that many people were even aware of cancer. Strange...

@Analesia: Yes. I agree. HOW DO YOU PEOPLE LIKE THE COLD?

To Olive and everyone else who has talked about cancer on here:

I just wrote a complete story of how and when my grandpa died. I accidentallly erased it.... so here is a summary.

My grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was so far along they couldn't cure it. Exactly 28 days later he died, September 15th, 2009. I was only 9, so it was hard and I understood more than I thougtht I did! My lil. bro was only 5 so I don't think he understood at all until he saw my grandpa's dead body (we cremated him). My sister was 7 but I know she understood well enough. it was a school day and we still had to go to school. A bunch of kids started saying stuff like ..."why ya crying, git spanked??...??" Mrs. Capetillo (my teacher) told everyone to leave me alone because I was SUPER DUPER sad because my grandpa died. That helped a lot... *rolls eyes*! It was really tough!!!!!!!

So thanks!!!!

We're so sorry about your grandpa, Vida. Thanks for sharing your story with us. Many cancers today are found at a much earlier stage, when the likelihood of a cure is much greater. You and your family can be thankful that your grandfather lived a long life, long enough to know and enjoy his grandchildren--that's you and your siblings.

Ok, guess what!!! It actually snowed today! (If you can call it snowing) Snowflakes actually fell from the sky!! (and melted immediately upon touching earth)  Haha, that's so ironic since yesterday I made that post about it being a warm winter in Georgia.

Spamboy says gfiu. "Go figure", possibly?
