Tua verbos perbonos sunt Admin! Gratias! :)

CB permultus amo! Permultus amicos bonos... :)

(I hope that I said everything correctly... ;))

It's been a long time since I studied Latin. The sentence I posted was a saying our wonderful teacher, Miss Schleyer, taught us on the very first day of class. I am a very aural learner. I can still hear her voice repeating the words. She was a real Renaissance woman. She could teach Latin, history, English, French, and German . . . and maybe even more. Hic, haec, hoc . . . Also the beginning of the Aeneid: Arma virumque Troia . . . Junonis ob iram! "Junonis ob iram" was most dramatic--it mean "the wrath of Juno!" (Woe to poor Aeneas.)

Some American schools offer Latin, but it isn't as common as, say, French or Spanish or German.

I speak English and a tiny bit of Spanish. I really want to learn German (partly because I love the sounds of all German words, but mainly because so many papers on tardigrades are written in it) and Italian (for the same reasons) and Latin (because it's awesome) and Everything Else.

Aetc says aytu! Y tu means and you in Spanish; maybe it does in Spamish, too!

I speak English, want to learn many languages, can speak (literally) a few words of German and Spanish, am going to start French in school next year, and... (grand finale) am learning to speak Russian! So far that's not on the list of languages. I adore most everything Russian.

I speak English quite fluently.  Except for the tad bit of mis-pronounced words that don't I don't know the meaning of.  None of which I can spell, or think of, since I can't even say them.  I probably would be able to, if I tried another time, but I don't think I would ever use those words in normal conversation...  :)

I know some Spanish, and if I read Spanish written somewhere I can vaguely understand it with the small amount of words I know and how similar words in Spanish sound to words in English.  :)  I also know some German.  Though only fifteen words at the most.  xD  German spelling makes much more sense than English in some ways.  For example: kalendar.  You can easily understand that.  I also know how to say time in German: zeit.  And others.  And like Spanish, I can make sense of some sentences.  That's with quite a lot of languages, actually...

I want to learn Spanish, mainly because I know some of it already and it's interesting and my family got a Rosetta Stone program thingie for it.  :)  I also want to learn Latin, because it seems interesting and if I learned it I would probably understand other languages better.  And German, because the words sound quite interesting, and I want to go to Germany someday.  :)  And Italian, because I want to go to Venice.  And French, because...  well I don't know why.  I just want to.  :)

I want to learn a large amount of languages.  I didn't realize that until now.  xD

@Meadow: I think that Latin totally helps you to understand languages better. :)

I speak English as my first language, pidgin Japanese, am trying to learn more Japanese, learning French, have taken some German in the past and am considering returning to that as well, took Latin last year, and still retain some Spanish from my classes that I took between the ages of 6 and 9. XD

Also, I AM BACK!~ Hopefully for good. My laptop actually works now, which means that I have a means of accessing the internet other than my ipod touch which unfortunately lacks the ability to let me post her. BUT I AM BACK NOW :D

I speak English (in case anyone was wondering) and I'm also learning French.  I've been learning French since pre-school, but I didn't really start learning conversational stuff (other than just random nouns) until maybe 4th or 5th grade.  I'm okay at French, and my teacher says I have a good accent (though I just can't pronounce r's very well), so hopefully I'll be fluent soon.  I'm thinking about doing a French immersion program in the summer next year, before French 4 AP.  We'll see though.  And I learned a bit of Latin in 6th grade, but I only learned a bit of vocabulary, and never learned how to create sentences.  I really liked Latin, so I'm sad that my new school doesn't offer it. :( Oh well.

By the way, nice topic, Princess P!
